ROOTBLAST?

I got some rootblast and put some (2 teaspoons) in 1 cup of water it dissolved almost instantly then i poured the whole mixture on a holy basil plant in a 3 inch pot as the pot dried i poured the runoff back into the pot untill none was left. I didnt kill it.! I am assuming that it will not kill more valuable crops. The reason i started this thread is that my plants suffered a servere fungus gnat infestation in late bloom that dessimated the root systems.Fungus gnats will kill your plants.

hum lead ouch

hey on your gnats

to help control then kill them little buggers try 1.5-2 inch green sand from garden shop or perlite on top of the soil. really this works soil gnats must breed above ground the female lays larve in the shallow soil. the larve get into the roots mature then climb out and above soil. breed and compleate the life cycle many time's untill killed. green sand or perlite keeps the mature pregant females from layn larve in the soil, and any newly matured gnats to climb above soil thus stoping the cycle :woohoo: .

i like to keep perlite on my soil it turns brown after few watering but i dont mind. also you can sterilize the soil in your oven 300 degrees for 20-30 min this should kill any eggs/larve in the soil. personally i use perlite lol cheap

I have controlled the gnats I had been wondering about the green sand though I wasnt sure it would give me a bumper harvest of stems and roots. LOL
