root pouch

anyone here using the root pouch pots? im wondering if you need to cut drain holes int them or not thinking its hard to get chem runoff thru them,thanxs

That's funny you mention it. I actually use them. I have the Roots Smart Pots as well. So random I ran Across this just now

Today in the middle of a transplant.into a 3 gal smart pot I realized I put it in a 3gal root pouch instead of roots smart pot. I don't know why but I kinda trust and like the Roots organic smart pots instead just the material is made out of looks a lot better for aerating the roots. So I had to stop mid way dump the soil into the Roots Smarty and switch it. But I still use the root pouches when I don't have any of the other ones left. both work just as good I'm just a little OcD is all lol



I Personally never though of cutting any holes in any of them I feel like that defeats the purposes little. Although I get what your saying cause I've def wondered abott it. As far as like flushing and chem build up in the bottom of the pots. Thought it maybe like soaks up through the fabric and hard to flush it allllll out properly. But that's just me no clue. If anyone has any more input id love to hear about it

ocd or thc lol yeah im going to try them out on my next run and see what the difference is in the root zone,i am a little weary of not getting the salts out so was wondering what others do,im not sure what the ones are made of your talking about but the rp are made from recycled water bottles and natural recycled materials.peace
