root bound? not enough light?

hey, got a strange thing happenin with my mothers, the lower limbs are dying off, leaves, tips, and stems. the stems are dry dead. I'm thinking maybe that they might be root bound, or perhaps the cabinet is too full, and just not enough light is getting down there? I'm using cfls in the cabinet, all organic soil and nutes. think I should just re-pot them into bigger containers, or do you think I might have a different problem? I will try and get some pictures up alil later today. thanks in advance.

check for mites? if they are root bound you'd see little nubs forming up the stem where the plant is trying to root, if you dont see the nubs I'd look really closely for mites.

mites can do that? I'll look, but I know there aren't any webs on the tips. would an infestation that isn't big enough for webs on the tips be able to do that?

ok, got some pics. last night I pruned alot of the dead limbs off last night, sorry, wish I would have taken pics before that. I do have a no pest strip in the cabinet with them, and have sprayed every so often with neem. altho it is about time to change out the strip. do these pics help? the blue bowl is some of the limbs I pruned last night.

you should take a look at the thread about micro mothers. I think if you took that out of the pot the roots wouldn't be white & healthy looking. I think what is in that thread is to cut off some of the root ball and re plant in healthy soil.

High Dash,

It looks like there is a problem in your soil or with your roots. I Suggest you take a close look at your roots and you probably have to repot them. If you look at your plant you can see the green leaves don't look as healthy as well. They should be more shiny and darker green. Probably the best option is to repot and use new fresh and healthy soil.

Peace
