Root Aphids?!

I was at a grow the other day that was having some kind of crazy deficiency - I looked closer and found what I thought to be fungas gnat flying by... well long story short, I'm about 99% certain this place has Root Aphids. Has anyone else in GTA/Ontario had an issue with these buggers? What did you do to cure them? I'm going to pick them up some thing with Imid in it. I'm not sure what brand might contain this ingredient in Canada. Any thoughts?

I see a few threads in the infirmary, but I had assumed up until now that this was mainly a West Coast issue.

Hey - Just a quick update. I called a reasonably knowledgeable garden center which does a lot of commercial traffic. They told me that the ingredient called Imidacloprid is off th market in Canada - it was called Merit, and the stuff that people were all up in arms about a few years ago. Its the stuff that the lawn care companies used to spray everywhere... So any suggestions or some kind of confirmation of the status of the chemical is needed. Thanks

Thanks guys I posted there as well, but I was hoping for some ontario/canada specific discussion. As I haven't heard anything about it here... also looking to findout if its illegal in Canada or just the Ontario region.

Ohh yeah totally.... good info. I haven't seen any of the Canadian boys come up with this yet...... but I'm sure someone brought some from Oregon through BC then on.... who knows with climate and all.

Good luck

Hey G&G,I think the only way to get Imid up here is to try a lawn care company, see if they have any old stock,or have someone down south repackage and send. I have a jug of malathyon(spell?)in the garage,I'm gonna try some of that shit and I'll let ya know how that works.

Thanks keep me posted. Apparently a licensed pest control person can still buy it, some I hope it will be possible to get my hands on it. Keep me posted on your experiments. The ones I'm seeing are the almost microscopic white ones.
