Room Setup Help with Frame - Pics!!!

I am trying to build my grow room and frame it up in my single garage.

Here is my planned setup. Bare with me!

Untitled-1.gif

Now, i have a problem with the framing as the wooden frame in the roof comes out from the wall say 8-10 inches and im not sure how to go about framing it up!

Heres a few pics so you get the idea!

Now should i frame straight to the beams in the roof??? The floor drops down in the garage and the ceiling height is 10 feet high (not bad hay!).

Can anyone help me with some sites for fraiming an and indoor room in my garage.!

thanks in advance

If you notice there is a gap that the hardwood frame support sits on about 7-10 inches away from the side concrete wall. No should i frame to the beams in the drywall on the roof? or frame up to the stud hardword resting on top of the brick pillar?

Man this shit sux im handy but this has be a litle baffled.

weill be running 8 bio buckets
1000watts hps

What are you trying to do? Are you trying to close off the brick wall and dry it all in with sheetrock? I frame and there are a few others here also. It's still early and i'm just waking up. Just alittle confused right now. If i'm correct, your trying to connect the top with the floor and close off that stepped in section of brick wall. I'll be back to check over your post again and give you a few idea's.

If it was me. I would pad out to the Brick Pillar. Get nice and flush with the pillar. The frame up the wall with this. It will be nice and even left to right and the top will also be nice and even. You won't have any bump outs and you can run your sheet's of rock without any problems. Grat3ful is another person you might want to ask also. Wish i was there, i'd frame that wall up before you knew it. Chop saw, coil gun, air, and it's on. If you don't understand what i'm trying to say. I'll edit some of your pictures and try to explain.

Yeah im just trying to build and enclosed room with the back brick wall being at the back and having a 3 sided fram going all the way to the roof. Then i will drywall the frame and insulate.

Problem is when i frame up the wall on the brick side its going to hit that massive hardwood roof pillar resting on that brick pillar as you can see in the pics.

hmmm just not sure where to start.

Thanks gold dust im starting to get what you mean. Its that blasted roof wooden pillar that is resting on the brisk pillar and since i have never framed before im not sure what to do.

What the best way to fix 2x4 frame wood to concrete?? I purchased some dyno bolts to secure the flooring frame.

Sorry if im not making sense im from Australia and try to use US terms in regards to materials

Editing my pics would be great thanks gold dust.

Also im worried if i flush frame with the brick pillar then when im running my horizontal top part of the frame it wont be inline with the roof wooden support beams in the attic. Where do i then fix the top beam as it wont hold going staright into the roof drywall. Do you know what i mean ??

If it was me and i was doing this to that room. I would just pad out the area's that are the problem. Like your saying the header you have now and this pillar. Bring it out so that it will give you a strain and even run with the sheet rock. Once you got it padded out, then you would start your framing. Once you got the wall all framed up. Then you would us whatever R rated insulation to insulate and then pull up all your sheet rock. I'm guessing you are going to need to pad out with some 2x board. I would run the full length to pad out the top header above the pillar. Bring that out, so it's flush with the brick pillar. Once you do that. You'll be able to frame it up like a normal wall. I wish i was there, because i could point it out to you alot easier. I'm awful at explaining direction in a post. Good luck and not to worry. Head, will be along soon.
Take care,
BG

EDIT: I'll be back and edit one of your pics and post it. BRB

You see how the drywall nearly bumps the main joices? build your frame to bump to the joice that runs along the drywall and use concrete anker screws to secure the frame to the concrete floors.

I drew a quick picture using one of them pics above to show you how i would run it.Imo it will be the best way to start a frame based on what i see in the pics!

There you go, I knew someone would explain it better. Buy you a small box of Tapcon concrete screws. They come with the right mason pilot drill bit. These would great for anker to the block and concrete floor.
Good luck,

its not gong all the way anyway its only going to the brisk pliiar and not any further.

Guys how do i then bring it out meaning the top beam if you know what i mean.
will i lose that space behind the drywall and upagainst the wall??

Yeah otherwise you could frame the whole brick wall completely. Give me 15 minutes and i will have another picture edited for you if not less than that showing the other way it can be done...

Not the best photo editing job but should get the point across. You will use the concrete screws to anker to the brick wall,Again as GDW said get the brand that comes with the concrete bit and screws.

Also i use metal plates forget what they are called shame cause i use them all the time but i use them to connect the framing after toe nailing together. They can be bent to fit corners as well. i will post a pic showing them as well...

swett i get what you mean cheers blaze you guys are the best sorry for the stupid questions but im just a newbie at framing shit up so!

if we got back to the original design blaze i dont want to frame the whole lot. just a small square area area at the back of the garage for and 8 plant DWC or bio buvkets setup.

Basically just a 3 sided room with the brick wall as the 4th wall if you know what i mean
