Room configuration help???What to do?

Hey there icmagers!
I am currently flowering in a room that from the inside measures 11feet by 7.5feet. Its a room inside of a room so the air that is exausted gets trapped in the ouside room, which Im working on fixing by adding an exaust to the outside room. I have 4 600w hps lights, 2 aircooled and 2 water cooled all on 120v. I have a 13000btu AC with a CAP C02 generator and a sentinel controller. At the moment I have 2-2x8 tables with a top fed coco recirculating drip system. Heat has been an issue, which is why I bought the new 13000 btu ac (my old one was only 7000btu). The problem is, the ac is too powerfull for the controller and it flips the breaker on it when its plugged in with more then just the ac alone so I have to plug it in seperately, which kinda defeats the whole purpose of having a main central controller. I plan on selling my two aircooled lights to get 2 more water cooled and also switching over to 240v to save some $$$ on power at night. But before I do all this, Id like some opinions from those contruction gurus as to how many lights I should run (and if I should stay w/ 600's or go back up to 1k's). Also how I should configure them. Im thinking of making some soil beds in 1/2 the room, which is what I do at another grow Im part of to make things more simple. They work great at my other spot which is cared for by someone else who preffers an easier way of doing things. I love coco (and soil too) and would like to keep using it. I guess my main ? is how many lights would be best to maximize things and how would you stagger them? Also, if anyone knows a way to run my ac to my controller w/o flipping the breaker id love to hear about it so I dont have to sell my wonderfull controller.

Thanks in advance for any help.

how is switching to 240 going to save you money? It wont.

Use the controller to trigger a relay or contactor for the A/C if possible

Maybe Im misinformed??? I was under the impression that using 240 at night would save money on my electric bill. Im the furthest thing from a electrician, so I dont know what Im talking about when it comes to that, but this is just something Ive been told by a few people.

240 uses 1/2 the amps so people think its saves, even HT lies about this part. 240 merely allows u to run more appliances without having to run bigger wire.. if u droped a 240 line into your room(8awg?) u could run all your toys and not have to worry.

can u open a window in 'the other room' to cool the heat? maybe a window fan? can u take a pic of the watercooled lights and your setup for that? how do you cool the water?

new drop for a/c stick with 600's.

Here is the water cooled lights. They go to a 40 gallon rez hooked up to an aquarium chiller. The run much cooler then the aircooled. Even if they loose some lumens, I can get them much closer so I think its worth it.

You're the first grower I've seen using those water cooled lights.
What kind of temps are you running with that set up? Air cooled and Water cooled lights running co2, I don't understand why you could need that large of an AC unit?

Agreed!! 240 saved me $$

Can you run another Line for the AC?

I had the same issue and has to add new breaker and outlet for ac.

Simply switching from 120 to 240 is not going to save you a drop. You are charged by how many watts you use, and a 1000W lamp is going to use the same watts regardless of which voltage you use to power it. Ohms law.

Now switching from daytime to nighttime may help keep things cooler and running the A/C less, which may save money. Also your power company may charge less for power used at night, so you may save there.

And I have to agree with Murphy. Whats going on with the A/C? I run 6KW air cooled and another 3KW not cooled in the same room. (didnt have the funds to air cool the last row and never got around to it) I run a 24K BTU unit and it does the job fine. S

So why cant a 7k BTU keep 2400 watts cool with all the air cooling and water cooling?

Im pretty sure its because the air gets too hot in the main room that the grow room was built in and before long only hot air is available for intake. Its pretty frustrating. ive burned the shit out of too many plants!!!! Im thinking of building those beds I mentioned to run my old soil/coco mix that worked great for me before. And for now, Ive turned off the CAP c02 generator that produces heat too and temps dont get above 85, but I know they should be lower with the AC I have. Im going nuts trying to fix this, and should be installing a whirlly vent thingy in the roof any day now.

What about lights? 4 in a row or 2 side by side?
