Rolling joints properly?

I wanted to roll a few for some friends this holiday.. i normally don't smoke joints so i've no clue how to roll them properly.

Take a pencil, and cut some regular paper, and practice rolling a pencil joint, pun intended. Then try some tobacco with cheap papers till ya get the hang. Play with it.

It's easy to roll with pencil or some other rolling aid, but it's more work and the joints don't turn out as good this way IMHO.

And my way:
Take a large rolling paper, hold it from both sides between your thumb and index finger so that the glue strip is on the side further away from you and up. Place the roach in the left end of paper, the fold will hold it in place. Then, add herbs so that there's little next to roach and a lot in another end for cone. Next you fold another side of paper over the herbs to the glue strip (don't lick the glue yet!) and start rolling the thing between your fingers so that herb inside forms a solid cone. Then you roll the non-glue end of paper lower, so that it is in level with herb and roach while glue end stays up. Roll it over the roach and all the way close, lick the glue and you're done. It's really easy once you get it.

I Think the dollar bill technique might work best in this case. Unfortunately, I can only advise you to search the internet about rolling a joint with a dollar bill. Way too wasted.

i wish i could help, but laziness drove me to buy a small mechanical roller.......i don't like to have to think........

I find it easy to start with king size papers and roll in only 1/2 or maybe 3/5 of the paper and use a filter. That way you only have to worry about one side of the paper realy, it makes them thin on the tip but I like them and its a lot easier for me to do that than anything else to get a deecent joint.

Hello all,

To properly roll a quality joint takes practice- like riding a bike- you have to learn then you ride.

One can pick up the basics but one cannot pickup the technique from a tutorial IMHO.

What is a snapper? We used to make party smokers to nose hit, with seeds and match heads in it to expode and smoke the place up, it was real nasty, but it would get a whole party wasted. What's a snapper, besides a turtle or ladies anatomy?

Chaps, learn to roll, it is basic, I can drive and roll, or roll in the dark, or blindfolded, comes in handy. [edit - and yes, I have had occassion to do all three.]

Practice makes perfect, no matter what. It's simply a matter of practice, even using rollers.

But I will tell you this much....whether your doobies are perfect, lopesided, mangled, or shaped like some unnamed nebula. At the end of smoking it....nobody cares, they're just happy to get baked with ya.
