A fun strain to watch grow, has an amazing smell that you wont soon forget, it is some of the stinkiest pot if grown properly. The germ rate of the seeds wasnt up to par with other packs ran at the same time, and this cut hermied out pretty good. though it throws a few bananas they are potent, the kind that pollinates half your bloom room, not like the occasional banana trainwreck throws out near the end of its cycle. It is very frosty and finishes early, the growth of it was average, but the leaves had a mutant curl to them, if possible i will try to get a pic of it. Im wondering if it is some def/toxicity of a nute because it doesnt always do it and not on the same parts of the plant, but everyone who has grown this cut of it has the same issue. Also a PM magnet, really gets the powdery mildew ahead of the others, but responds well when kept at 35-45% rh.

The smell of it is great, like a tropical pineapple, it didnt come across in the taste as much as expected, but it was still some tasty herb. Very light smoke, would make excellent joint filler. It has a nice structure too, very spear like, not like the pictures on dna genetics site or on many seed vendors. I saw another grower who had a cut similar to this and his looked more like mine than the dna pic as well.

The high is pretty good, comes on strong creeper style about 20 mins after smoking, can knock you out or send you to the ceiling, the effect seems to vary from person to person. I get a stronger euphoric feeling from it by the third or so bowl, then about 30 mins later it makes me want to take a nap. others get hit hard by the first bowl of it and want to lay down.

Good strain, i bet you could find a non hermie pheno of it and be very happy, it could yield well and def has a stronger than avg stone to it, amazing smell and smooth smoke that works great in blunt or bong.

1. Visual Appeal: 9
Rate the visual appeal of the buds from 1-10 unappealing-excellent.
Comment: chunky nugs at the base and spear shaped at the top. has that awesome pea-sized foxtail calyx structure that just stacks up the calyx in really long fingers. My growshow was around 70 and under 600w's so it didnt do this based on heat or light intensity, and the feeding schedule was 4x a day, off during lights out. The buds have little to no fan leaves when they get flowering, so in the bag it looks prime time and catches a few eyes everytime.

2. Visible Trichomes: 9
Rate the visible trichome content from 1-10 none-totally covered.
Comment: lots and lots of frost. Breaking up a nug of this stuff when it is dry will get a lot of trichomes falling off, i had what looked like a small sandbox when i was done breaking nugs up for this report. frost is inside and out, fatty heads on it with a bunch of non-glandular trichs to further frost it up, upon checking with a loupe i verified it to be about 60/40 glandular to nonglandular which aint bad!

Comment: the bud itself isnt that dense, infact it is slightly loose in the structure, almost like an old school thai in terms of how the top spears at the mid-late flowering cycle. The calyx are very dense, breaking up each one of the pea sized calyx will be a challenge, much more fun to let it cure nice and load your bowl with some lil peas and burn em down!

Comment: Gettin close to a lil slice of heaven with this one, amazing smell to this stuff, like tropical fruity candied pineapple, mixed with a small bit of skunk in the background. The citrus part of it is very slight but it stings the nose, it is almost like grapefruit but a little bit sweeter. The smell of it seems to die down a bit towards the end of flowering, so i pulled a few early to see if they retained it a bit more but i had no luck with that, smell seems to disipate a bit quicker than my other strains, i have some chocoD that stinks a jar up for months on end, this stuff loses its smell after a week or two, smells like dry tea on the outside until it is broken open to reveal the tropical paradise hidden inside. yum! on to the smoke test!

Comment: Hashy fruity taste, has a good light tropical berry undertone to it, tastes pretty good but doesnt jump out at ya as oneof its better traits.

comment: have an early sample cured, and a later sample that just started having snapping stems when bent.

Comment: Flushed both samples well but it just doesnt burn as well as I would have liked, it may be because the calyx are so big and dense that they dont have much surface area to burn when you smoke it, whereas more leafy strains have more surface area to burn and snap with fury in my bong.

Comment: Some of the lightest smoke ive come across, you burn a big bowl of it and wait for it to irritate your lungs but it doesnt really happen, the smoke doesnt expand enough to make me want to cough it up. After 3-4 bowls in rapid succession i get a little irritation but not enough to make me want to stop

Comment: good potency to it on the first bowl if you puff then walk away from the bong and go do some work, youll get a good racy high about 20 mins later, the stuff has a pretty good creeper effect to it. i prefer to sit and smoke the whole 20 minutes then stop when i feel the first bowl catch up. reminds me of backing up a trailer truck, if you dont plan ahead for it and get too far ahead of yourself youll end up gettin messed up.

Broken Bong: everytime ive gone to hortipharm the lav star is always near out of stock and just has shake or little pea sized nuggets in there, so i pickup something a little better looking - how did you like it? anything else there you thought stood out from the others?

Saron: lavender star gives you a great head high almost like being drunk, however the come down is powerful, it puts me to sleep every time. out of my recent purchases. lambs bread, purple haze, pineapple diesel and green crack are all standouts.

hell yeah, ill keep an eye out for it next time im @ horti, i used to run the lambs bread around my town for a while, stuff has a real good smell to it, smell reminds me of blue dream. Big yielder, fairly mite resistant but a pm magnet so i let it go, a few months ago i bumped into someone who had it and got a cutting of it again, just put a momma of lambsbread into flowering this morning too, ill try to throw up some pics of her when she is done. I miss the bubble from this stuff, you could smoke a bowl of the bubble and a week later be doing the laundry and when you get to the clothes you were wearing that day you smoked the lambsbread bubble youd be overpowered by the smell of smoke still sticking to your clothes.
