The idea is simple. I've chosen to start in San Antonio Texas. All you have to do is find a town, city, village, or attraction within 100 miles from our current location. Record the start location and end location and the distance traveled. If you land on an airport, you can choose to fly to the location of your choice, or let the next person choose.

If you need a map that show distances, Try, . Map Quest Map quest also offers driving maps for Countries outiside of the US should we ever get to that point.

Let's go! Have some fun!

NOTE: To fly across the ocean or to another continent like Australia, the airport MUST be INTERNATIONAL. So, If I drove to the airport in Aspen Colorado, I could not suddenly fly to London. How ever, I could fly to New York.

Example Post: Start of the game.

DRIVE: San Antonio, TX to Garden Ridge, TX 22.94 miles

Speaking of SA, I was just there last weekend.

I'm only 266.43 miles away from playing.

You can still play. Someone doesn't have to pick up up. LOL.

How is west Texas? I'm coming into some money soon and was looking into west Texas. I can get 120 acres for under 20K...

Depends on who you ask...

As far as Texas goes, you can have it if you want. Personally I think it should be given back to Mexico. But back on topic... and I'm not driving in Texas, so its someone else's turn.

Well, welcome board. How do you like Garden Ridge? I've had my turn so we have to wait. Isn't that a Stuckey's?

My 1st choice was southern Colorado. I have my eyes on 70 acres at 30K. Am just looking forward to getting away from the people issuing the check.

Land is usually cheap down here. The only thing I can say about West Texas is it's quiet. Where are you looking to buy land at?

My settlement isn't set in stone yet. The arbitration hearing is set for July. It's a long weird story, about a blown stop sign and mistaken identity.

I have my eye on 70 acres near Trinidad Colorado. There' also some good deals in West Texas around Big Bend.

If you like. Go to landsoftexas.com. Maybe you are looking for a bigger place. You can also search the entire country. State links to the left. There is/was a house on 32 acres in WV for 50, but it's under contract.

The very best or maybe smartest was the 27 house in Paris Texas. They're all rentals. You can find them at unitedcountry.com. 20K could get me 3-4 units with $1800.00 income per month.

We're talking a new car here.

Fair enough....

It was getting late anyways.

Someone may come around and keep us moving.

The next day we cruise up I-35 to Crawford and smoke a fatty with Dubya and the first lady. They get totally baked and then she served us some big fat slices of freedom pie. Freedom pie is delicious, it's made from abandoned civil liberties and babies with a cherry on top!

Hey facelift, fun game, I hope this trip really gets goin. I'm curious about these 3-4 units that can be had for 20K. Do you mean 20K down or do you mean the whole thing costs 20k? Because if you can bring in $1800 a month on this building that costs $20k that's a 108% gain per year on your investment. That's just too good to be true. Is rental property really this cheap cause that's where my money is going if that's the case?

I saw this game on a baseball/sports message board. It's going about the same. I added the Airport scenario just to get people in other places than the US into the game.

About the RE:

They are single family homes with prices starting as low a $9500. They've been on the market a while. Some guy is selling his portfolio. I once figured out I could get 3-4 units, one home was 2 units for 20K. If not at unitedcountry.com, maybe realtor.com. Can't remember which, but they were there for a while.

I know at realtor.com you can do a search for multi-family, and come up with cheap 4 unit buildings. Mostly in upper East Coast, in Maine, and Buffalo. Now that I think about it, Ohio had some nice bargains. I think the very best I came up with was $2600 rent income spending 50K. Or about 3.5 years to get your original 50K back and own the buildings. Of course I was paying cash. Most likely 10-20 years if you get the 30 year mortgage.

I'm still looking for privacy away from the city, so that means 35+ acres.

Can I head for Kerrville, TX? ...for the last days of the Kerrville Folk Festival. Wish I were there now, one of the best times of my life last time I went.

I guess we are in Kerville Tx. For a show for now. I guess I can take the wheel in a day or two if no one happens by to get us out of Texas....
