RO Plumbing Question

I just replaced an old GE SmartWater RO filter, with a Water General 5 stage RO.

Is there any reason why I could not use the storage container from the old GE, with a splitter, in addition to the new storage unit, to double the amount of stored water.

I would think it would work, but not sure. Would the water pressure go down?

Any help would be appreciated!!!!

it should be fine. i don't use a pressure tank though. i use a large tank that i fill and use gravity.

That is what I thought. Another brand says it is fine, to put a tee in and draw in parallel.

After I fill res, will try and report back, here.
