Risk of starting a grow?

I am thinking about possibly starting a 10 plant bagseed grow from mexi schwag.... i was wondering what the chances of getting busted were for a small time grower for personal use... i was thinking about it and i can't recall ever seeing anything on the news about a 10 plant pot bust so i was thinking as long as you keep it small it would be ok... no fancy lights here just flouros and dirt so what do you think?

also in the past i grew NL and WW with good results would it be a good idea to try using some genetics (LR#2) or am i better off going at it with bagseed?

If you are not aware of the risk factors involved in growing, you really shouldn't grow.

Well if you have already grown before you should know what personal risks you have.Dont show friends your grow because loose lips can sink ships.Also,real genetics might be better then bagseed because it can be less varied than some bagseed.

The only sure way to keep your grow safe:

Do not use a ridiculous amount electricity every month.
Do not let anybody else into your place.
Do not draw attention to yourself.
Do not sell your finished product to other people.

And most importantly:

Do not tell anybody. Ever.

thx for the advice on not getting caught ppl but, i do want to know what would happen if i got caught with 10 plants having a clean criminal record, would i likely get probation?

it kinda depends on where you live...just dont have a scale on you or in your home. but, other than that, why grow when youre planning on growing schwag?

The risk of getting busted stands entirely in relation to the security precautions you take. Take none and the risk is high, take all and you can grow all your life without getting caught. Or rather, only the unforeseeable can stop you.

There's lots of things written on security and what to do - check the Security & Legal Issues forum.

You don't read about 10 plant busts, it's small potatoes for the press. You don't read about people getting their cell phones stolen either, unless it's Paris Hilton.

You get caught growing, you're gone for a long time, no matter if your record is clean or not. You're asking questions that can be found online. Look for your state's laws regarding marijuana.

If you asked me, you're not ready to grow simply by reading your posts. Better not let your parents find out either.

The first thing you need to do is determine what your state laws are. Felony charges for cultivation vary from state to state so be sure you know what youre getting into. There is really no reason to grow 10 plants for personal use just grow few and grow big and check the boards for scrog and/or sog techniques to increase yields.

so you have one flowering plant and one clone ready to flower and one clone in veg

10 plants is overkill

The reason you never hear about 10 plants on the news is because it is not newsworthy, they like the stories where it is 1000 of dollars, makes it out to be a big grow op
