Ripen seeds in the pod after harvesting?

Can there be any seed ripening development inside the seedpod after harvesting or will it stop immediately after you cut the plant?

Reason I ask is because if you have only one lamp and you think the top seedpods are more or less done and want to cut the top buds so you can lower the lamp to speed up the ripening of the lower seed buds

Just an idea, maybe it don't work

No. After harvest there is no more growth. Although I have 'cured' seeds.

You're gonna wanna let the seeds sit for a couple weeks after harvest anyways. I do agree with easy7, they won't grow/ripen anymore after you chop. But they do need a little time to "dry" after the plant is harvested. Don't get me wrong, fresh seeds will grow. But you won't get the germination % you would expect from fresh seeds. This I know from experience.
