Highest lifetime average post 1940's era. One year he struck out 15 times.... this month like 30 guys have struck out 15 times.
Possibly one of the most underrated players ever, and most baseball guys consider him one of the all time greats. Tony Gwynn, Honus Wagner and Ted Williams... best pure hitters ever.
RIP man, I don't follow ball anymore, but this brings back some childhood memories.
