A simple concept and not the first time it has been conceptualized but the way she said it.... made my teen years livable.

Such a wondrous and beautiful woman. She will be missed.

Thanks to Ms. Angelou, I not only know why the caged bird sings, but I also comprehend the depth of that metaphor, and how it applies to all of humanity. Thank you for the wonderful imagery and vocabulary you gave to us, Maya. You will not be missed because your words are immortal and I believe you will be a household name forever.
