I had a major hiccup earlier this year with the cable company after purchasing a few cheap Ipower digital ballasts. Long story short, I was pissing hundreds of people off for 7-8 months before the cable company was able to contact us. They just kept snipping our line and adding noise filters until I was finally contacted.
Anyways, I switched locations, got myself a couple magnetic ballasts, and was wondering if they are still going to cause any RFI issues. I am still using the same lamp cords and cooltubes, and being that I don't really know the first thing about electronics and RFI (despite days of research) I figured I would just ask to be safe. How much RFI is going to be created by a couple 600w magnetics used in conjunction with the old lampcords, which were supposedly the main culprit of the RFI? Or will the switch to magnetic ballasts fix the problem altogether?
