nice trees
How long did you veg them?
G`day Rinse
Oz is a big continent .
15 deg where Wally is. 37 deg lat in the far south .
The light in the tropics is pretty epic all year round . Down below 20 deg lat it gets real strong in Summer .
But our clear winter day is prolly brighter than summer in a lotta parts of EU . Just the days are only about 10 -11 hours long . And then there`s the clouds and rain Bushy is talkin about .
We had an Indian Summer in my region .[25 lat] 14- 25 C the last cpl of months . But showers every second day .
Chopped O Haze / Sk this week . Equiv to Early December in Northern Hemi .

You mean this stuff rinse??G'day Elmer, ah the tropical zones, when I visited Kerala (about 8N) I was in awe of the atmosphere, the flora, colors, humidity and brightness. Stepping outside and getting hit with a wave of that intense light.
Of course my main thought was what awesome weed could be grown here...
Was very grey and quite depressing when I returned to England...
Im fascinated with that red earth some of you guys have, something thats stood out with Wally's grows.
Im thinking, imagine how deep the roots are on those hmong Thais and the like, in that ancient red earth, maybe a component of the extra sensory effects of the outback herb...
Im guessing Bushy is closer to the 15 than 37...
I remember someone saying winter grows in the tropics can be even more potent, due to the cooler temps, giving different terpenes/or less evaporation of terpenes.
Sounds like a winner Kaiki, us Europeans hear very little of Colombian herb. Most of what I know comes from Redriders thread!

not very deep roots ,
but they can go a metre or two just under the surface ..
I think the winter grows are good due to the dry , when we harvest its really hot and dry , tinder dry ,
and the plants may have never seen a drop of rain ...
G`day Rinse , Wally
The red soil is volcanic .
The East Coast of Oz has extinct volcanoes the full length from Nth to Sth .
I`m a cpl thousand km from Wally and a few hundred Km from Bushie .[ He`s further South of me ].
There is red soil in pockets most of the East Coast .Around here a lot of the sports fields are built on that red clay . Can you imagine washing the rugby guernseys ? Let alone the kids cricket whites in Summer . lol .
Up at altitude on the old volcanoes the UV is even higher than at sea level !
But ... when I went to Portugal to Paulo`s little fazenda and saw this - View Image

Yes it is! Here's some Afropips Malawi and Laos border Thai - pretty wild cultivars with some wacky looking flowers...
And oh man, I love crossing these things!

Don't stay away for too long Bushy! I need that fresh Sativa porn on the regular. LOL
Red dirt Marijuana? Terry Southern published a short story about that shit, way back in 1967. I think he liked it, a lot.
I read it in 1981
“This here is a full-growed plant,” he said, touching it in several places, gently bending it back, almost caressingly. Finally he stood up again, hands on his hips, looking back at the prostrate cow.
“Must be mighty fine gage,” he said.
