Revitalizing depleted soil for seedling mix.

Thought I would share my soil mix and get some feedback.

Ran an organic indoor crop in #5 pots harvested roughly 12 months ago. The soil sat in the sun room for the duration and dried out. I needed some seedling mix so I spruced it up. So starting with roughly:

3 gallons of depleted bone dry soil. (I believe the base was happy frog mixed with organic goodies the soil had a good texture most of the roots from the previous plant had been dissolved.)

First rehydrated it with little less than 1/2 gallon of water

add:

12 cups worm castings
9 tbs green sand
9 tbs alfalfa meal 2.5 - 0 -2.5
12 cups peat moss
2 cups perlite
2 cups vermiculite
3 tbs diatomaceous earth
1 tbs Great White Shark inoculant.

mix well.

Planted 2 day old seedlings straight in the mix. Will add water in a couple days. Seeds were planted in root riot sphagnum peat moss plugs. Germ rate roughly 4 - 8 days. 31/45 popped so far.

Any suggestions how to improve this mix....I thought about adding some dolomite but my PH meter was iffy I didn't want to bounce the PH if anything I added the peat to make it more acidic...I'll just surface dress some Epsom salt for the magnesium later. Also thought about adding some bone meal but figure I'll add that to the transplant mix along with more NPK boosters. I don't want the seedlings to burn. So my feeling is the only thing this mix is missing is a good calcium source?

So far seedlings looking super happy 24 hours in the mix. Standing up and stretching their new leaves.

The only thing I would add is this, aerate your mix aggressively so it can get oxygen to the microbes. It may take some time for the organics to come back to life and have an abundent microherd going. Bubble the water before adding it so you would dissolve oxygen into it. I think what you're asking is how to get the bacteria thriving again, is that correct?
