Review of Oaksterdam Seminars

I was wondering if anyone has taken the seminars at Oaksterdam? If so, could you provide us with a review of your experience there? I am really interested in taking the both the beginning and advanced seminars but would love to know if it is worth it first. I am a new grower, but have a little experience and have gained a lot of information on here, but I think that Oaksterdam could give the one-on-one attention and help that it is hard to find on here.

CHEERS!!!

to answer your question, Yes its worth it. The interaction between students alone is worth it but you add in a hands on lab, plus with a full staff of legal folks, lawyers, and such.

my hats off to that whole Oaksterdamn U staff of professionals, they are really getting it done.

Thanks man! Definitely going to check it out. If anyone has anymore they'd like to add I'm sure many people would love to know their experiences.

Cheers!

I wonder if I have enough knowledge to teach one of their grower classes. I think I do, but with competition like Ed Rosenthal I wonder.

Trust me, when you walk into the beginning or intermediate cultivation class, Ed Rosenthal does not hand out the syllabus.

Thanks man, that makes me feel a bit better. Ahh, yeah I'd really like to talk to them, they have a campus near my house I could even teach from. I would love to see what they consider advanced, because to most of us it's things like UVB, CO2, flip flops, and commercial production. Harder to address genetics in a classroom setting, but I would ROCK a grow room design class!

I took both classes. It's far from perfect there. I don't want to get into a huge discussion I just want to give my 2 cents in a random blah.. lol, here..

-Advanced class is not worth the money, it repeats to much from basic

-Ed Rosenthol TO ME seemed like he wasn't happy doing it, like it was a joke, he did it just for money, and it was so bad I kind of think he made a fool of himself. He gave some misinformation, seemed like he cared less, I could have done a better job, I felt embarrassed watching him. Im not saying he's not a good person!

-Don't attend Oaksterdam for cultivation advice, a book is much better (lets say George Servantes)

-Alot of confusion, many left the first day never to return, people didn't show up to teach classes and alumni had to teach them

-The tests are poor, they were also leaked by a local pro pot paper and available to cheat when I went

I suggest only taking the classes if you are opening a dispensary or starting a cooperative grow, they are the most useful for that. Despite my complaints im glad they are doing what they are doing, hopefully others (some have) taken there example and started there own educational classes. Owners a great man and my opions on Oaksterdam don't reflect how I feel about him, or some of the hard workers that showed up and DID give good a good class!
