Revenge of the Bagseed(sensi star along for the ride)

All right, 2nd time around. The first go was all indica dom bagseed, wich I proceeded to destroy as though it were my sole purpose in life.

I over fed, thinking organic soil and ff grow big, liquid karma would not hurt my plants. So, I took one clone from the one plant that did well in a high ph, high food environment.

Thats the bushy girl you see with the lighter. I purchased an 1/8 of sensi star from a local club, came with abou 7 seeds. All but one popped, and they are doing fine, except the part where I tried to kill them again.

But, I know the strength of my soil, nutes, and tolerance of plants, so Im doing ok now, a few micro def maybe. Ive been phing my tap water, leaving it sit out for 2 days before I water with plain tap, trying to get some cal and mag.

Not worried about nutes at this point, the def is slight, as you can see.



First pic, is mother of clone and clone.

The only plant that actually made it thru the hell I inflicted upon my meds, so I thought she was a keeper.



2nd Pic is the clone 30 days later, under 3 23 watt cfl.

I just topped it today, and made clone, flowering is around the corner for these plants, so I started today. I topped the clone, and one of the sensi star.

And an overall bad pic of the group, there is 6 plants in there, I killed one sensi it was not recovering fast, or at all.

Ill be flowering as soon as I get some screens over them, need to get some hangers and nylon line.

I used chicken wire on grows from years ago, but I wonder about having galvanized steel rubbing against my plants for 45+days. So Im looking for alternative.

I plan on flowering all but 2, my bagseed mom, and one sensi girl, just for variety. Ill use my 100whps, and 150 hps to flower.

Will pick up ff bloom, thats about it, maybe some micro to fix the ro, I hate the way my tap water smells/taste.

Thanks for pooping by oaax. Heres the update, I got one in flower, the one in the large pot, its a girl. I got rid of one male, another I suspect, the one in the back. My clone from my first go with organics and nute burn is doing great.

I'm slowly getting my ph down to about 6.5, seems to be helping with the growth rate.I'm just watering and feeding with 6.0, my ph was high, so after a while it will get to about 6.3-6.6.

I'm fine with that. W\e.

Im not all that impressed with my performance of the sensi star, I didnt ever really give it a good chance to do its thing.

The bagseed indica I have is a freakn champ, takes alot of abuse, and seems to thrive. So, I think Ill just use her as a mother.

I was planning on keeping a sensi star clone, but they seem to be a bit touchy.

I like the smoke the bagseed came from, so Ill dial this ff nutes and organics in with it, then maybe try a touchy strain.

Seems the better the strain, the less tolerance it has. Hmm.

Temp grow set up, need to get some osb, poly, and make a proper flower chamber. Since I will keep mom small, my veg\clone chamber can be relatively small by comparison.

Tiny update, things are moving, but slow.

I finally got to pick up some cal mag plus. I had to choose between that and tiger bloom, but I need the cal mag more, Ive been showing mag and cal def since start of grow.

Puts it at FF grow big, liquid karma, cal mag plus, superthrive, worm castings, organic soil, and alaska fish emulsion, 5 1 1.

Not shoving it all in at once, but they all make thier way there.


This is the sensi star, I really have no clue as to traits, its had such a hard life, I never gave it a chance to express. Ive got clones, its ok.



This is the "mother" I let get out of hand, now just lst till I get a bigger pot to flower /scrog her in. Ive got 150 hps next to 100, just waiting for the day I can flower her, she will yield well.

Dam, last night, I was training for hieght requirement, and I had an accident.

I made a 1 inch long split near the top of the main stalk, and the shoot growing next to it almost broke off, but did not break off fully.

I could look into the stalk, wich is bad. I remembered a post around here that said use toilet paper and water to make a cast for broke stems.

I have to say, it works really well, its stiff, blocks light, allows air to move, and wraps around the site just like a cast.

The very long shoot that is broke is not showing signs of wilting, its been 10 hours since split, so I think I got it in time. Its un nerving to look down and notice you can see the inside of your plants main stem.

Anyway, toilet paper keeps it protected, immobile, and dark.

Forgot the guys name, but Ill find it when I post picks of my cast tonight.

This is the cast I made, from a tip from some IC mag member. Works great. Its almost all gone.



Not really what I use to clone, but I veg them here till they get big enough to use the hps I got flowering that sensi star.

I could use a bigger cfl, but I dont really expect much from this stage, its for when they just start getting roots.

Basicly to fill out these cups in there. Its cool, I can move it anywhere, easy to do.

I clone with plastic jiffy pellet and my desk lamp, and my modem. It takes about 9 days, but they stay on the desk, all the clones in that box where done this way, and its always worked.

The weaker the light, the better they do it seems.

This is from the inside, I just wanted to note how the bud in the back right hand corner was the first to show roots, and has robust roots ahead of the others from veg.

Its had white pistils and trichs for awhile now, and now its got roots and is feeding, I wonder what pollen would do if it got on the pistils.

Not gonna do that, but Ive been staring at them for 2weeks.

I was suprised at how easy a bud will clone.
