Revegging or stretching mid flower?

I have a critical kush growing outside in a smart pot that just finished week 5 of flower. It stopped stretching back in week 3. We just had about a week straight of overcast cloudy weather and now my main cola stem stretched about 2 more inches and the lower stems stretched about an inch. It's still throwing out trichome covered calyxes but Il scared this is revegging? Anyone experience this before? I read somewhere else that I should just cut the new stem growth off or I'll get airy fluff.

I think I've nailed my problem down to overfeeding as my google search says most people who have had this experience found it was due to high temps or too much nitrogen in flower. Looking at my plant it looks like I have way too many leaves compared to bud. It's also very dark green so I flushed it yesterday hoping to salvage what's left.
