reveg whole crop?

i was wonderin after you harvest if you can just reveg right there. just adjust your timer to 18/6.
takes a month or so for new growth to build up enough to flower right?
is root trimmin necessary or recommended?
I have never actually reveged a plant but ive read it can yield higher secondtime around due to the root and stem structure is already in place to pump juices through the plant. ill probably stick with cloning but i was kinda contemplating this.
what do you guys think

hey... i love smoking in my hammock too!

i had a mate who revegged constantly for a year or so, just leaving a few popcorn buds and changing light cycles... they went pretty weird, kinda mutant, but the spliffwas always great.

A month is about what it takes for the new growth to start. You will also want to put the light to 24/0. Do a search and you should be able to find the information you are looking for.....

Like stated above, usually you have to wait a month before they start vegging again.
That is why I never reveg. I find it much easier to clone the plants before triggering and veg them. It takes a little longer, but since you have to wait a month until your plants even start to re-veg, it works out. Not to mention, a re-veg will always produce much less bud than the first time around. Just my 2 cents.

Your wasteing time reveging-they take too long to recover for your return.
Better to use fresh plants

Hey guys, I read this thread a while ago and I found it again. This is how you should revegg your plants if you choose to do so. Check out this thread and I think you will find the answers your looking for.

The only reason I think I would revegg is maybe if I didn't take any clones from a female and after I seen the buds and had no other way to duplicate it. Why not, it is worth a shot.

Good luck all, hope this helps! :listen2:

I am a newbie here, but I think I had a pretty good first crop. I cut all the plants down to about half, repotted with larger pots (My first grow was one gallon and I changed to three gallon), I trimmed about a third of the roots and put them on reveg lighting. Anyway, it may have taken over a month, but not much, the plants looked really strange, and I think the tender new growth got burned a couple of times (consider getting far from the light in the early stages of reveg and maybe use a shorter than 24 light cycle). But the wait is worth it. I have bushes with lots and lots of branch structure that are all the same size. I think my yield will be several times higher than the first because I will have many colas now. If I had started from clones or seeds I would not get what I expect to get on my second harvest. I highly suggest a reveg. Everyone's circumstances are different though, and along with my reveg I am also trying new seeds and some clones.

If production means anything, revegging plants cant come close to comapring to what you can achieve clone only growing. The idea is never to have an empty space in your flower room, there are different ways to do it but as long as there is never an empty space, you're utilizing production to the max.My room holds approx 30 flowering plants in 2 gal or 25 in 3 gal.I can either stagger smaller flowering plants 30 days apart,or fill the room with larger plants that will finish all at once.I've been doing the smaller plants for years,I recently found doing the humongoids in 1 big harvest gets me real close to 2 lbs per 1K fixture. You have to experiment a bit,but never have an empty flowering space!

i am on my third reveg since i started a year or so ago i started with fem seed and my first try at cloning failed and i pruned heavily on my first flower cycle and didn't leave much plant above soil i was lucky and got three new branches near soil level i got one clone from that and pruned the original plant near growing tips to encourage branches after branching i pruned again after 2or 3 side branches formed when iflowered this plant i had about 30 growing tips to form top buds about halfway through flower cycle the plant was 26inches from soil to top and about 30 inches in diameter when i pruned this time i tried to leave about 12 growing tips and about 4=6 weeks later i have at least 25-30 growing tips again but the plant is a good foot taller before flowering i didn't prune roots and repotted from about a 3 gallon pot to a 5 gallon bucket with many drain holes .. am changing clone technique and hope to stagger cycles if successful... hope this helps someone newer than than myself

I've revegged and the consensus is right...too long to start growing again and less bud the second time around.however if you have a plant that you want to keep and didn't get a clone during the first veg cycle, you can reveg for clones. prob the only reason to do it. I did this with some oriental express and while it took forever it allowed me to keep those genes for another cycle (and they were good)...

Hey beddabud,

So, you revegged your OE genes. How did they turn out? Good or bad, or just inbetween. lolol. Just wondering, because gather as much info on the cross to help me figure out what direction i need to go in the future. Thanks and i hope it was a good grow for you and some good smoke.
Take care.

Revegging

I have the same problem with Trainwreck. TW, will throw these single blade leafs and will take alittle time to flip back over, but if you do like is posted above. Give the plant even light and don't mess with cycle. They will reveg within a short amount of time. I like straight 24 hours. Helps them flip allot easier and quicker. I'll try to dig up some old pictures of what i plant will look like when new growth is forming. It's kind of alittle bit odd.
Take care,
BG

GDW,youve seen my thread on the OE. It was outstanding. the ones I flowered came from clones taken off the reveg. if i remember correctly I dont think i got too much if anything off the actual revegged mom. But I know the bud off of her clones was great. I suck at cloning or I would still have those genes around..Ive told you before and Ill say it again, the OE will bring tears to any serious smokers eyes..but im hoping this kush x n.l. will be just as good if not better..

Hey beddabud,

Sorry, i forgot. So much has been going on in my life. I tend to forget allot lately. I remember you telling me about her and i just love the picture of her. Thanks again for the report and sharing the picture. Sorry, to hear you lost the cut. I once wasn't the best person at taking cuts, but i got better. Maybe, OE will find her way back in your garden sometime soon. You take care and thanks again.
Later,
BG

yeah BG I hope that OE will find its way back to me too. It was nice. it was worth the time and effort of the reveg. I spent a lot of energy to get a couple of clones that lived and then stupidly let her go........
