Reusing Moonshine Mix?

G

Guest

I am curious what i need to do to reuse the soil, as lately i killed some males in early 12/12 and would like to reuse their mix.

Is there a special technique to keep the soil good? How do i remove the roots, and is it ok if some remain in the soil?(i highly doubt i will get all out)

just curious as i am a total soil neophyte X100!!!

i was hoping there was something more specific to this mix. Being an "all in one" soil mix, it would be awesome to have a quick fixerupper to re-energize it.....

for those of us with very black green thumbs..

If the plants were not in the soil long enough to deplete it then you could just plant into it again. Old roots may change the texture of the soil, remove as many as you can. Add more POM if the soil has been depleted. That should fixerup! :) Good luck man

all good advice . . .

the key organic matter ingredients to add to a soil remix would be kelp meal . . . and perhaps alfalfa meal if the males have used more than a fair bit of nitrogen . . . we'd also suggest adding a bit of lime to the mix . . . as we are fans of adding some kind of "rock dust" every time we remix a soil . . .
