Retailer silences noisy seeds?

anyone know a retailer to slit open the clear bubble on a bonded card breeder pack and stuff tissue paper in there to baffle the seeds, to prevent noise that might alert postal workers?

When the guy told me I said thats some imaginative bullshit if your not telling the truth lol I had already accused him of foul play anyway.

I won't name names at this point. It sounds like total BS but a lot of things that sound like BS turn out to be true, these days.

I don't entirely trust my own judgement so Im not about to plot his downfall but.. this is bullshit right? I should just toss the seeds, live and learn etc?

Guy says he's been doing this for 15 years because stuff that rattled disappeared. Its an Amsterdam dealer... You have to figure they got grown out on a Dutch postmans balcony. Not hard to shake an envelope whenever you want to start a run if your a dutch postal worker.

Many things 'can' be wrong with a pack of seeds. Mostly on the beeders end. Some may be the supplier that sold to the store.

I have chosen repacking of seeds. So much is already trusted.

I'd risk authenticity before security anyday.

I would order from somewhere else next time. The seller shouldnt have to worry about stealth and noise especially if hes shipping to you in the UK where seeds are legal, you could be receiving beads or other small items that rattle in the packaging. And if either party is concerned about a package being pinched all they have to do is pay for tracking etc.

Personally I would be concerned about the authenticity of the seeds if the packaging has been messed with.

Definitely consider ordering from somewhere else more reputable next time though.

Oh mate Im DAMNED if id ever buy from this shop again - i only did because its last pac of old rare beans and cheap. Nah, it not about them checking cos of laws - its thieving bastads in the post office who steal the contents when they hear the correct rattle.
Ive verified what he says tho, its a "thing" they always do lol the beans will no doubt be legit because they aren't anything most people would grow if they were free anyway lol

I always go for the candy option. sent with candy labeled as candy and expected to rattle.

Those dutch stoner posties love the sweet munchies too though so... lol

AND Im not saying they are dishonest cos they're dutch, no, its cos they work at the post office - a Mecca for thieves worldwide. "Lost in the post" is a fact of life everywhere.
Im not saying Mecca is a spiritual ...er ...Mecca, for thieves, either.

Dutch shmutz, I'm talking bout UK chocolate, don't go anywhere near the dutch coming this way'

proper communication solves most tho, it is worth the buck or two for a thicker envelope or a heavy bubble envelope. there are also another magnitude of creative shipping ideas that still seem to work.

maybe it is regional? never had any lost in post issues, I'm honestly more concerned with customs than getting lost in the mail. If the random search machine says to check they check it and I have horrible luck for that at airports.

Rattling is a concern among seed banks, especially overseas. I've worked with one in the past.

Opening a breeder pack is odd without consent (if I read you correctly) as this welcomes call backs, a pain in the ass phonecall at best. All non order phone calls are a pain in the ass.

To be honest, Ive had trouble with everything I've sent to dam. cuts I've sent arrive dead after a suspiciously long time... i send it on a 3 day courier and it arrives 2 weeks later, mush. happened twice with two different couriers from this end. weird.

I said that about inviting accusation but he said he'd rather deal with this than the seeds not arrive at all.
Ultimately, I don't think its a scam because I don't see how it would work as a business model, swapping seeds in packs. If the packs are fake, no need to interfere with them and arouse suspicion. If he had seriously wanted to, he could get fakes printed and fill them with random crap seed but then the pack would look new and perfect, I bet.

no, this pac loos legit and the tissue stuffed through the cut in the bubble is explained better by him than my accusation. Black Label Nevilles Haze REGULARS baby:woohoo: meant to be same as old Greenhouse gene pool

You'd think they could hide the seeds inside the peppermint candy.

Wouldn't be that hard, it's just sugar.

You would just need a mold etc.

I wonder if seeds would be damaged by being stored dry next to almost pure sugar, for longer periods like 6 months.

sugar is an age old preservative so it got potential. I bet you could get through customs with shatter in jars of honey. Fill the jar with shatter and top it up with just enough honey to seal it,. Lid on, job done. You could send containers with tons like that. Big catering jars obviously.

the plan was to grow a few acres of Amnesia core cut at my friend place in the country, in Sicily, and shatter it ALL. He turned out to be soulless, evil, blight on humanity and a turd so that never happened which is good cos I would of ended up buried there most likely. The expression "i dodged a bullet there" is literally the case, I suspect. play out with godfather theme, fade to black .

fuck it ill ramble. same thing happened with a fella I planned a thing with in Spain. He got sent down for a grow before I did anything with him but probably his loss my gain. I recon this is a lonely game. I only grow my percy these days but if you do it for others enough to justify a partner, you have to give them half so its NEVER worth it unless YOUR tahing advantage which I don't condone. new a nasty old man when i worked in a grow shop decades ago. He was a dirty charmer sex pest grower. He would find desperate old skanks on dating sites, move in, grow, harvest, leave WITHOUT sharing the proceeds and marrying the bitch as agreed.
Between jobs he slept in his car and annoyed us in the shop. He told us how he hit a woman and laughed like we would think it was cool. I remember me and the boss struggling to restrain ourselves.

YO, I just seen that 100 euro shit on the packet lol I payed 35 pounds :) I saw them at other places that were sold out that had sold them for 45 too.

I suspect Black Label just packaged seed they bought bulk from Greenhouse. Its a common marketing strategy to sell more product without lowering perceived customer brand status. These being regulars means they should be the genes I remember and loved from Greenhouse in 2003
