In theory, true ... BUT during the era constructing and establishing America, the immigrants did not arrive expecting something for nothing ... goods and services were not free and were not expected to be. Earn money, barter, live off the land or ... starve. Fellow immigrants and citizens and neighbors were not forced to provide for those who couldn't or wouldn't provide for themselves.
Just because the current legislation in place was designed to create this situation.... doesn't change what I said. Immigrants are the LIFEBLOOD of this nation. It even states, quite plainly, in the Constitution that our borders should be open to all foreigners seeking to work hard and live free. Anyone restricting that is a traitor.
By creating the legislation... they've put prohibition on immigration and that is not open.
Nothing else matters.
