I find it all fairly humorous myself. To think all these years of being a hillbilly and self sufficient are actually going to pay off. I honestly can't wait for hunting season, hopefully I can get a deer in close enough for my Glock.

You should be using an appropriate firearm for hunting, not a pistol.I find it all fairly humorous myself. The deer never make it past the minefield anyway.
lots of deer killed with pistols. i carry one in case of assholes...Thompson-Center makes single shots that are capable of killing anything on this planet.

Pistol hunting is actually a pretty big thing, only problem is you need to get a lot closer. I'm not going to take a shot with a pistol at 100 yards, sure I could probably hit a deer at 100 yards but shot placement would suck.
Now if I get a clean double lung shot with a pistol it's going down. People can talk caliber all they want, but if you take even a .22 to the vitals, you're going to die.
Not too mention deer are about the same size as a human and you see how fast they die with 9mm hollow points from the police, dude in Atlanta got shot twice and dropped and that guy was bigger than a lot of deer. Of course some cops do still use .40 S&W, but most switched back to 9mm cause it's basically just as good and holds 2 extra rounds.

As with bow hunting. Up close and personal. My shortest shot was 11 yrs, furthest 27. I was hooked. I found rifle hunting anti-climatic after my 1st bow harvest. Still use my shotgun for birds though but, big/small game (non birds)? A bow
