Reservoir Size Reccomendation (5 Plants w/ Drip Tray)

hey everyone,

I've been trying to decide on a reservoir for my drip system, I'm running 5 plants in a drip tray under a 1000w Hps in a tent. My reservoir will be outside of my tent to conserve grow space and I will have pumps running the water from the res in to the system. Do you have any recommendations for a good container to use as a reservoir?

What other stats can i list to help you with this? sorry this is my first grow...
Using canna coco w/ a little bit of perlite, planning to water every other day.

OK, didn't notice.. sorry.. drip system.

probably go to wally world and buy a tub that will (I don't know allot about drip) accommodate enough nutrients (what kind of nutrients are you using? how much? PPMs) 5 plants... in a tent? or do you have a room set up? the hotter in the room/tent it might be, the more nutrient mix (juice) you will use in a period of time that you have to determine.. I would think that a 30 gallon garbage can would do the trick, probably over kill... the bigger the rez, the more jucie you can mix each time, for that period of time.. do you have a PPM/EC meter? the learning curve is straight up in the beginning...

getting your environment 'right' is the most important thing that nubies overlook..

Thanks for the reply snook,
Im using canna nutes and coco, have a grow tent inside of my bedroom with a 400 cfm to keep things flowing and cool, temps fluctuate between 70-74 currently under the t5, plants are on day 12 of veg. I guess my only hesitation for a rubber maid is that my pump doesn't pull from the bottom so I would be leaving some nutes in the tank due to the width of the container and the pump not being able to access the water when it gets low... you ever have an issue with this? Simple solution would probably be to just grab a pump that pulls from the bottom right?

I was giving the plants water with 12mL/gal of canna start, ph 5.8-6.0, for about a week,
but now I have started them on their main veg course:

4 Gallons of tap water in Home Depot Bucket (Temporary reservoir till I need a large one which will be soon!)
Note: These 4 gallons will last me multiple waterings, the plants are only 5-7 inches so they don't drink too much quite yet.
Canna Coco
24 mL A + 24 mL B
30 mL Rhizotonic
36 mL Cannazyme
6 Teaspoons of Calimagic
Ph 6.0

I used the Canna grow guide on light feeding and then subtracted a little to come to these dosages.

that's what I'm takin about... tent, T5, Coco, Fan(s).
yes, better pump fixes your feed problem.. get an EC/PPM meter and a ph meter. you mention PH.. do you have a PH meter or strips? and just to keep in the back of your mind.. I have backups of everything x 2... lights, fans, bulbs, timers, plug strips, air pumps, etc.. if something goes down in the 6th week of bloom, its not smart to linger (especially light bulbs) and not fix the problem straight away. I've used coco twice.. I got gnats.. GD gnats.. don't like bugs flyin around.... but many do use it with great success. read, read, read.. dis shit can be difficult sometimes and one learns (hopefully) from your experiences and mistakes.. remember the mistakes and figure out how/why they happened..

EDIT: and try to not make the same mistake twice.. cliché..

Thanks for the input snook,
I'll keep this thread posted on some updates as I go along,
Transplanting into 1 gallon smart pot later today.
