Reservoir Seeds- Wonder Diesel

Ok so I thought I would try to do a Smoke Report on the WD. I had some problems in veg and they stretched too far. By the 3rd week of flowering they had stretched so far that I ended up tying them down.

WD day 72 flowering:

Final Yeild 32 grams:(The main cola and couple of small side buds)

Veg: 45 days
Flower:74 days
2 gallon pots/plastic grow bags
6 26 watt blue CFL veg lights
400 watt HPS Cool Tube Flower
Temperature kept at 70-80 degrees (night/day)
Commercial Organic soil
Fox Farm nutes: GB, BB & TB
12 day Jar Cure (I will update post in a couple more weeks to see the difference)

Appearance: Lime green with very few brown pistils. Trichs at harvest were 95% milky. Buds are very sticky when broken up
Aroma: Very strong Lemon cleaner smell
Taste: The same Lemon cleaner taste. Pretty smooth but a little expansive in the lungs through a cleaned small glass pipe.

Effect: My test is usually 4 large hits through the same glass pipe. Very blasted head high that lasts for about hour where it then switched to a 2+ hour mellow body stone.
I also had a heavy smoking friend come over to try it out. I did not hype the strain as I wanted a honest opinion. Neither her nor I could get past 6 large hit's at a time. This stuff is very stoney.

I have to say since switching to seed only grows (8 current commercial strains tried) that this has been far and away my favorite. IMO, it has it all: Yeild, Smell, Taste and an in your face stone. I wish that there was more packs available but I believe that they are all gone now. I have 5 beans left that I will be trying to make a few seeds of in about a month. I also have some Southern Lights and AK-48 that I will be doing for a back up male/female if needed.

Have I forgotten anything?

Thanks guys, I wish I would have taken a cutting of her. The last 3 grows have been about finding the strains that I enjoy. I have around 25 different strains of beans that I am testing out. With any luck I will have a male/female that I can try to replicate or at the very least 1 male or 1 female that I can cross. I am going to start a few AK-48 and Southern Lights (NYCD X Sensi Star) with the WD as to have a back up male or female to cross with.

Medical efficacy?

Specific analgesic properties of the strain?

Ease of growth for beginners/advanced growers?

Ease of cloning?

Sensitivity to nutrients and pH?

Execellent questions mpd,

I still have to think a bit on the medical/analgesic properties of this strain. It still has some more curing to go however, I do not believe that it would be that good for pain as is not a heavy indicia/body type effect. The body stone it does have is more of a relaxing type after the big head blast. I do think that it will be very good for anxiety for which I have had problems with for 20+ years.

Ease of growth: I found it to be very easy to grow. Beginners would have no problems as long as they have some patience. I flowered mine for 74 days but could have easily went another week or longer. I would imagine that going 80 days or more would bring out the heavier body stone. Personally I believe that I harvested mine at the right time as I do not enjoy the heavy couch lock effect.

Ease of cloning: I do not know as I did not try it. The last few grows has been all about trying out the different strains of seeds currently available to see what works for me.

Sensitivity to nutrients and pH: No problems here. I fed the WD full dose strength using the Fox Farm receipe. The ph testing of the soil remained at netural or just slightly acidy throughout the grow. I do not test for ph as often as I should and have only used the cheap testers that you have to look at the color to determine the ph range.

I only use bottled water throughout my grow as the water in my town sucks something awful. I have a bottle refill machine near me where I can fill 5 gal bottles for $1.75. One thing I do throughout my flowering cycle is flush alot. Every other watering I flush with 3 gallons of pure water and 1 tablespoon of molasses per gallon of water (2 gallon pot).

I hope that this helped.

just one question...how big was that plant in the end, height/width...? I see the contrast shown with the lighter, but just curious as to the full plant dimensions...

thanks.

Great job OG!!! By far the wonder diesel is one of my favorites. Your description is spot on to what I found, and love so much about the wonder diesel. That flavor, and scent just gets more pronounced as it cures.

Enjoy your harvest, and smoke one for me...:rasta:

Thanks all, this is actually one of the best smoke reports I've read about REZ's work because you talk about the high, the type of high it gives, and some characteristics. Usually people just rate the power without saying much about the effects. I like love the feel of any strain that pulls back into a euphoric type body stone and that's how I'm reading this. Anything that has a positive effect on anxiety is good medicine.

oregon guy, is that first hour of intense stone edgy and paranoid or always pretty grounded? Thanks.

Thanks to everyone for thier kind remarks.

Postman: Thanks, How are you doing? Any new projects going on?

Dank: Due to my veg problems they were a good 14" tall when they went to 12/12. It streched 2X or more the first 3 weeks. For the majority of the flowering I was using a smaller tent that limited my heighth to 39" so I had to tie them down as you can see in the pic. It was maybe 46" tall if it would have been grown straight. The top cola was very thick and very dense.

Virgin: The initial head effect brought on no paranoia at all. While it is pretty intense it was a relaxing intense if that makes any sense. The body effect that comes on later is not a heavy couch lock either but rather a dreamy relaxing state.

btw: I had someone take a few hits and asked if it was treated with some sort of chemical lol. Nope it was the WD taste. I had a solid pure water flush for last 18 days. That lemon cleaner taste is great!

I will cure for a few more days and then post some more thoughts.

Hanging in there Og... I've been keeping busy as usual..

I have a new journal in the grow diary section that I just started featuring Head Seeds Trainwreck bx1 testers, and a few other homemade varieties. I actually started a few seeds of the wonder diesel ix X Chemdog-D bx1 seeds I made, and I popped a few more wonder diesel ix as well, so it should be interesting. check it out when u get a chance though I still have some time before flowering begins.

Looking forward to checking out what u get from the remaining 5 seeds ya got. Good luck with em bro. I Hope you find a few more keepers, and solid male for an in-cross as these genetics IMO are worthy of keeping around for a while.
