These portraits are from fashion photographer Richard Phibbs for a project photographing rescue dogs at the Humane Society of New York. Published in a book called “Rescue Me”. All for a wonderful cause…proceeds go to the shelter and the awareness helps find loving homes.

When my dog passed and I was in the process of looking for a rescue I ended up rescuing a stray cat. Actually it turned out for the best as my lifestyle changed and my travel schedule would have made it difficult to have a dog.

Great portraits!
Yep, I have a rescue canine buddy....he was about 4 months old, dumped in a town park, had worms and a few other things. For a while he did not like parks, but now, he romps feeling safe. Best dog I ever had and going to celebrate his 5th birthday next month.

Bless. Barley is a cute one. Had a friend that had a rescue that turned out to be a great frisbee dog, was on the circuit for a time. That dog could never get enough (play) but she was the sweetest little thing.

this is a good story, u-tube has it on 9news.com.au
dog looking after its sick partner on railway track for two days in freezing weather with trains running over head. were rescued. u-t is something to see with trains running o/head.
