Hello Danish people !

We've been talking about Copenhagen's proposed legalization and I figured people from Denmark will know best what is really going on :tiphat:

So if any of you can provide us with some input about when the parliament is going to be deciding this, is the political climate ready for this change, etc in this thread I would be very grateful.

Thanks !

Local politicians have talkt about making coffeshops, like in amsterdam, in copenhagen. But they have been talking about it for years. Nothing will ever happen. We just got a new goverment in denmark, and the parties who won, allways been PRO weed. But after they won, they magicly forgot it. So if it not going to happen whit the comunistic goverment we have now, its never gonna happen. The big boys who call the shots i denmark, wont make it legal any time soon. Maybe in 15-20 years. MAYBE...
So sorry to disapoint you, I know theres been alot of talking about it in forring medias, but its not going to happen.

agree

I have totally lost any respect that i had for danish politicians especially the three social partyes, imo they don´t what they are doing, and like Breden said they suddenly forgot their views on weed. i saw a tv debate between to members of the same party venstre, one of them belonging to their youth party, discussing legality, the youth rep seemed real passionate about it, and he totally won the debate, so maybe in the future but def. not now imo.

There can be no soultion in the stablished partys in denmark. they have been babbling on and on aboiut it the last 20years, and every time they got the chance of doing something they suddenly turned around.

The only possible solution in DK as i see it is to use the political situation where the left and right blocks as it is now is almost even, and go for the decisive mandate.
that is make a singlepurpose-party, with only one agenda.
The liberation of homegrown cannabis and the liberation of selling cannabis and by products in special shops, according to an age limit.

For this to schisma to work, there can be only one road, and that is to work out the actual law text to implementation, and at the actual negotiations categorically deny any more "investigations into the matter" (undersøgelser osv), as they have already been done.
there is just one single thing for this party to say to the man/woman that wants to be danish prime minister at the negotiations, do it our way or look for another job.

ansver if it comes to a standoff : no problem we will just take another election, we have no problem in that now everybody can see that it can be done, do you wanna risk loosing even more votes to our party?

there will be no vote-sharing with any other partys and during the campaign: there must be absolutely, no comments on anything that does not have to do with the case.
ie: asked on what the party have to say about the rising cost of everything, ansver: smile:)

a comedian one time in the 90.ies did that, only he blew it, and did not realise what possibilities hed had between his hands.

i have thought so to earlier, but not anymore, the message will be spread like wildfire just one time on TV - and every one will know what its all about.
once the public and the journalists know that its meant dead serious, they will know that we will be the decisive vote.
believe me every party but the most rightwing "DF" will be on their toes claiming that they also will have a look into the matter, some wil go on babbling about yet another comission and a investigation (undersøgelse) like they punctured the green party back in the day. suddenly comming up with their own "green agendas" only this time people will not take the bait.
but for this to work it needs a wery stringent strategy. absolutely nothing must come out of the mouth about anything else, but the case and the case beeing the program.
legalisation of homegrown cannabis
legalisation of special shops for smoking (with an agelimit)

I guess the real problem is that most cannabis smokers are in fact aware that there are other more important things in life than weed.
I wouldn't vote for a cannabis only party myself because I value issues like general personal freedom - especially freedom of speech, peace, social security, education etc. higher than I value weed.

"Personal freedom", freedom of speech and movement, is closely connected to cannabis, when we are not allowed to consume this wonderful herb and medicine, there is no full freedom basically, freedom is hindered in many places. We can be told there is, like, you're free to go to work, school, free to shop in supermarket but then again we're free to choose an local farmer as your foodsupplier and school we feel our kids would do good in, free to choose an education (if it's free of cost) and thereby a job which is based on what you want out of life, and making you a better, happier person, not some job you just have to do for the money, and that way making way for more freedom by supporting the local life in your neighborhood. And by showing you/we can do this, hang together, and stand by cannabis for one thing out of many which defines freedom, it will be selfstrengthning and we will win in the end.
When a plant is illegal, nature is illegal, and that is absurd, bizarre, crazy in so many ways. This is a big topic for sure...

You're absolutely right Riot - I just don't wouldn't want to vote for a party that would be ready sell their votes on each an every issue for the sake of ensuring free cannabis.
