Repotting? (during flowering)

Dirty

Hey guys, It's been a good while since I posted, mainly cause I hadn't grown in a LONG time.

The thing is I put my plants into flower, and repotted some that very day, about half, and the other half about four days into flowering. No issues with repotting, everything turned out fine.

Question is that it looks like only two of the plants seem to be budding. Could I have actually killed them by doing this? Is there any way to try to correct this? I thought about maybe just flipping them back into veg for another week but am unsure if this would be more harm than good.

Anyways, thanks for any feedback brothers.

How long where they in veg for? Where they clones or from seed? Have they shown sex? They may not be ready to bud and are still in veg. Sometimes it can take a week or two before they will mature.

Could be stressed a bit as well...

Be patient time will tell if boys or girls.Assuming clones or female seeds they can take weeks b4 signs of female bud points. The longer you veg for also determines 1st signs of flowering.Give it a couple of weeks u will have balls or pistils.

you'll be good.....but you better had vegged a little longer in those new pots though...
and it can't be budding after 4 days into flower....it still needs to grow preflowers berfore budding...so i think you mean preflowers

Sorry I should have said more.

They are now into day eight flowering. All are comfirmed females so all are clones at this point, I've basically been trying to narrow down to one or two mother plants, these were the last cuttings taken before i decided on two mother plants.

Like I said, all are female, they are just not budding, AT ALL, I've had a similar instance where I took cuttings of plants right at the time I began flowering them and they just froze as far as growing goes...

They've all seemed to grow a few inches and that''s it, I'm not seein any budding. They're not dying as I've already rewatered one plant going onto the others probably tommorrow, they're just not budding.

I'm afraid I've given them too much of a shock going into flowerering

Hang in there!

Hang in there!

Yer gonna be fine. It takes a couple of weeks for flowering ta kick in fully. Check yer timer jus ta make sure nothin's happend, and relax, they'll flower! It jus takes alil time. BC

i have to agree with giving them a lil time. its a mild shock at best but nothing they cant handle. i have re potted with 3 weeks left for flower and actually noticed new growth and stretching (my harvested SSH grow). i transplanted those flowering plants by taking them out of the grow bags, setting it to the side, added new soil equal to the empty space left at the top of the bag, watered and a week later i saw then stretching. it was really cool especially after so many people said how dangerous it was and that it wouldnt work.

give those roots some time to get used to their new surroundings and remember the roots also have to setup shop in order release the chemicals they need to have in the surrounding soil in order to convert/breakdown nutes for proper uptake.

how did you re pot them though? i use blazeouneups' techniques for transplanting/re potting. they way its done is that you break up the root ball up but leave about 3-4 inches of the top soil in tact, spread the loosened roots out into the new pot youll be using, cover over and then water with plain water. the other/ old regular way is to just make a hole in the new pot, dump the plant in and then cover over.

and as far as spreading the roots out, it works trust me. . . .

. . . it really does. :rasta:

I've honostly never heard that approach FriendInDeed. I guess I really need to do some more studying here soon, hehe.

I essentially did the SECOND method of repotting, just squeezed the sides of the pots gently (round pots) tilted almost sideways and they came right out.

this is the only grow I am doing soil in, I actually took some cuttings out lastnight and finally put them in 4" rockwool squares, and what I've been doing after that is actually putting a cutting of a 6" rockwool slab under that right before or right after I begin flowering. I haven't had any problems except one or two occassions where the plant hadn't fully rooted into the slab to dry it out, and I watered the table, which basically stunted the plant for good.

I have a 400w MH for veg in the closet, have a whole room for flower just so I have the space, 1000w HPS, 600wHPS and a 400wHPS, I have made up essentially 2 BOOT BOOT BOOT leg ebb and flow tables, don't really have any money to invest right now especially, things have truely gone downhill lately for me, mostly because of poor judgement on my part, probably gonna cost me my home, and I'm more than willing to do anything to stop it.

Edit: Just wanted to say thank you for the feedback gentlemen, I greatly appreciate any and all of it.

High levels of N, low levels of P, and lack of preflowering are usually what delays my budding. They will eventually get on track because of the light cycle. Or maybe Im just superstitious and dont watch the calander.

hehe, well I'll hope your right on that one skipload.

I've all too often taken the slackey route on growing, which has given me extremely low yields, shame on me.

I've been around since the overgrow era, around six years, it's about time I turn things around and get serious about it if I'm going to continue to do it.

I can do this... :D
