50 lb bags top quality coco carbon ----http://www.carbonactivatedcorp.com/
That is where I buy my carbon .All my reading leads me to belive virgin coco carbon in the granulated form works best as well as lasting abit longer. On the down side the 4x8 mesh granulated I have been using is alittle more rtestrictive as far as air flow and Messy(dusty)A prefilter is nessesary or carbon dust will escape into fan and beyond .I might try 6x12 granulated next bag .Can filters came with pelletized carbon years ago not sure if they still do ,but I think I get better odor protection and longevity from the granulated type,I can deal with the dust cause the trade off is 100% odor removal

Hammer I wouldnt go any smaller than 4x8 ,
I think smaller is better ,more surface area. Same reason I like granulated because there more pourous than pellets and that amounts to more surface area for odor to be absorbed

HH: I just got back from walmart and bought four cans of "activated carbon" It was like 5 and some change a piece. I guess the pelletized works better. I dont know. Makes since though. But I refilled my scrubber with it and so far it's working pretty well. Now for how long it will last remains to be seen.

I was looking at a company that sales bulk but the shipping is a pita. I need at least 25lbs would like 50lbs. I will do some googling lol. I will check out Carbonactivatedcorp thanks for the tip. It's a shame that we have to hide behind closed doors with this stuff. I was very involved with Reef Aquarium's and we all would do group buys for our equipment. We would buy a pallet or 2 of carbon and distribute it to all who joined the group buy. it's to bad we can't do things like that here.
