repairing a glass piece?

Hi, I recently broke the downstem of a glass bowl for a tobacco water pipe, i was wondering if there is any sort of puty or even tape that would give a temporary fix until i can get a new one? .. I see that tape could fix the problem I just don't want it to melt or burn so maybe a high heat proof tape? thanks something that won't contribute tape fumes if heated a bit.

don't think you can fix it. well maybe you can but i dont think it would be a good idea to smoke out of a pice that has been repaired w/ any sort of adheisive(s) that can possibly make toxic fumes while heating.... but if you want to do it at your own risk, i think that in the autoparts store(pep-boys, autozone, etc.) they have some high temp silicone. 1000 degrees i think i seen some... you can try that?

why don't you just go to your local smoke shop and get a $5 generic bowl? anywayz... good luck!

whats the verdict on contact cement?
My ceramic piece snapped in half, but the crack isn't too near the bowl. It's new, and awesome, and indian.. so i'm reluctant to toss it. But obviously... glue is something you dont want to just test.

Just make sure it's dry before you smoke out of it again.
