Probably not, I would rent a U-haul and put them in there while they do the inspection.

Thats a cheap option for the piece of mind it brings.

Potential buyers have the right to inspect every inch of the house. If they are interested, the guy that comes out to do a full inspection prior to purchase will also look at every inch of the house.
As long as the owner gives at least a 24 hour notice or whatever time limit as required by law in your state, not much you can do. They can't open up your personal items but everything else in or attached to the house is fair game.

bullshit you can be apain in the ass and force him to evict you possesion means you have paid for the the conveyance of property to your ownership.he can then pay an attorney to evict you I would stilltry to pay my rnet and document that fact if he gives you a 30 day notice.also you can say he duped you into renting as you would never rent aproperty that is going to change ownership.
regardless of what anyone says about leo or the boogyman this is a civil matter so see what your state constitution says regarding your rights and liabilities if any.

it would be in your lease somewhere they they have provision to enter

1. In case of emergency, (water leaks, Gas, electrical issue)

2. if 24 Hours is given, for whatever reason deemed fit by property owner( within reason, and a real estate appointment is within reason)

exactly.
i just went through this shit. there's not much you can do. i tried moving things in and out for each potential customer for about 4 months, but it got to be too much to deal with. i ended up shutting down and waiting it out. it took about a year to sell the place and it ended up being bought by an active state police officer so i moved anyway.

well my plan is to stack boxes to the ceiling to cover everything and shut down for a few hours with the carbon filter running.the dryer will mask the sound of the fan and if i open the door and show them the wall of boxes telling them the closet is packed full of junk they can't possibly want me to pull out a 7'x14' closet of crap just so they can see the walls.its a small house without much storage room so that is what i'm betting on.if i tear everything down i can't afford to set it back up.i'm moving and i'm buying a prefab tent, damn this stress.wish me luck

tell them no thats storage they can't enter don't even open the door, you have rights and if you assert them you look like an angry inconvenienced renter instead of a meek fearful cannibis grower.and I know what nthe lease says about the right to enter, but thats a piece of paper that has no bearing in the face of a civil matter the only alternative for your landlord is to start unlawful detainer proceedings.he cant bring the po po into a civil matter until he gets a court order telling you to vacate the premises.
you can put a lock on the door and say you rented it to another person and cannot legally force entry.as he is not in residence is away on vaction and you have no way of getting ahold of him.the point here is you have plenty of options to go thru before opening that door.

yeah, ive been in the exact situation youre in before. it can be stressful i know. you should be fine locking the door, saying that its your roommates room, and they are not around! good luck.

If it were me, I would hide some cuttings in refrigerator stasis, tear down the grow, and start looking for another place to live immediately. That landlord is going to continue bringing more people to inspect the place. Probably a lot more people. This is a serious security breach, especially in Florida. Not worth the risk.
All IMHO of course.

lived in a duplex and mid lease it was sold to someone else. Both of the owners were in and out of that place dozens of times. its not a quickie in and out see ya like an apartment showing. And yeah florida? dont they cut your dick off for even thinking about weed there?

/end false hope of progress in FL

Best of luck Graham, we'll be pulling for ya.

thanks for adding this thread... i have always asked myself how growers do it renting a place. now i know that i will always need to ask the right questions before i sign any sort of lease. i would want to make it clear to the owner that i would like to rent the place for as long as possible, as i would like to make it nearly my own home. and to not have to worry about them up and selling it while im living there...eff that. i hate people as is, and i dont know how i would handle some random people in my house looking around. growing or not.

thanks for the advice and well wishes everyone.i had it camoflauged wonderfull, looked jam packed full of stuff, then they never showed. so i am still among the undiscovered and i'm getting a secret jardin asap so i can just shut down and throw it all in a uhaul like sam the caveman said if next time ever comes.and i'm moving out like billy joel said, lol

I just went through the same thing, had to take down and put the plants (just 3) in contractor bags, hidden for the inspection. I debated leaving the homebox up with carbon filter on low and just telling them it was wardrobe but I couldn't risk it, I have to live here for a while longer, it would have attracted suspicion.

One thing I learned - contractor bags are not enough to contain the odor of flowering plants! Mine were 1 week into 12/12 and they started to smell after a few hours in the bags. If they were in full bloom there's no way the odor would have been contained, I would go with the U-haul option.

I lived in Sanford Fl. for a while and was renting a place that was being sold. I had one plant in a closet, I always left the door shut, but potential buyers would always look in there anyways. Only one person ever said anything, and that was "nice plant".
