Rental Insurance

I was wondering if rental insurance would cover it if your house caught fire from grow equipment. The plan costs 200 dollars a year and covers around 500,000 worth of damage.

Prop 215 compliant.

Is it worth it to get rental insurance?? I am going to buy a couple automatic fire distinguishers anyways.

They paid me $100 when our fridge died to replace food. Don't know about fire, getting out alive would be good enough for me.

No. You can get insurance for a grow but it will be mad expensive. Normal cheap renters insurance will absolutely not cover a marijuana grow fire and in fact if you told them you grow medical marijuana they would probably deny you a policy.

It will cover whatever the contract says it will (and won't) cover. Oddly, my home insurance doesn't cover acts of war or "angry mobs". So I assume if I piss off the neighbors and the come at me with pitch forks and torches, I'm fucked.

You can bet if there's a clause in there that says it won't cover damages caused by illegal activity.... it wont.
