Remote control Boat fishing

G

Guest

ok ...i checked my state laws and many other state laws..and i cant find anything anywhere that says u cant use a remote control boat to fish.

what I'm gonna do is get a BIG r/c boat and mike it a "small scale long-liner" for trout and perch and such in local small lakes. i know there are hook limits so thats fine i know cant have 100 hooks behind the thing.

can anyone think of where the law may get me on this one?

rc boats are pretty large and heavy..LOL....and even BIG..especially if u make it that way....i'm more concerend w/ fishing laws than the ability of the boat.

I'm pretty sure a warden would be laughing so hard he wouldn't give you a hard time... he'd probably enjoy the chuckle so much he'd forego the ticket

lol i dont doubt it, ive seen a vid of a rc boat that was supp. to be going 85+ mph it had a 3 foot tall water plume behind it lol you would snatch the skeleton out of a fish with that.... but you better watch out those white perch put up a fight... i think id be more worried about catfiish tho !

A shovelhead catfish would take it under for sure. I once seen a duck on the water and big splash and it disapeared....had to be a huge catfish. It would be a very fun thing to try though especially with smaller fish, you could catch a small bluegill and pull it around with the boat like he was water skiing :biglaugh:

lol buckeye, i've never seen a catfish eat off the surface before in my 20+ yrs of fishing but it could of been, i know stranger things have happened....are you sure it wasn't a northern pike, musky, or largemouth bass....i've seen musky, northerns, and largemouth take ducklings and smaller ducks right off the water, same with frogs and salamanders.

the bigmouth on my lake would take any rc boat to the bottom quick, and anythng smaller would just hop off the hook(fish are probably a lil more agile than your remote instincts), thats like fishing for whales w a cigar boat man, its a novel idea, you just need a lake full of retarded oned fin sunfish, and youre set.....plus, the lil boat noiseswould send fish scurrying .....id like to see pics if you do this=)
