Reluctant Sprouting Seeds From Selfing

I've got some fresh S2 seeds(6 months old) and they are reluctant to sprout
as selfing generations increase, I understand weakening is a thing
but gen 2? seems a little off but I guess you never know how a particular luck of the draw might turn out
the seeds seem healthy inside, just stubborn, some germinating stimulant perhaps?

It may be the parent itself producing reluctant offspring.Try putting some in the freezer for a cple weeks .
interesting thought, that hadn't occurred to me
definitely worth a try I guess if my current attempt is another fail

I've found some strains are not as vigorous regardless of seed age,I usually have germination in 3-4 days but I have one batch that cracks in 24 hours and has tails in 2 days. I have also had some crack in the live bud after they got wet.

this is the first time with seeds not old I've had this deal
so far they've seemed swell and looked ready to pop
screwed upon a seed crack and broke 'em, looked alive inside
some seeds can be very slow sprouters

time to update - never leave a thread dangling
and I will say I've not experienced fresh seeds like these
3rd seed, been in a warm spot, 75 deg., 1% water/hydrogen peroxide - Beta's method and very good usually
2 weeks for this seed, doesn't budge
doesn't rot, and it looks alive
I was looking forward to this S2, how ever I did have another S2 set from a sibling of the stubborn ones
sprouted in 36 hours, so my technique is still ok
time to punt, I'll be back on these stubborn seeds
just a delay, freezing will be considered amongst other tricks
