It's as expensive as a mofo. If you're from the midwest like me at least. And honestly, I got sick of having no seasons. I like snow, dammit!

Have you looked on the internet for jobs in that area yet?...you can get a feel for whats available, maybe even line up an interview or 2 before you even get there...Calif in general is very expensive, but a single guy/girl can live fairly cheap....lots of good schools in that area also, so I'm sure there are jobs around....good luck and stay high :D

Cali is expensive, but not the most expensive trust me. NYC, London, Paris, Amsterdam...those places are expensive.

There is plenty of Snow in California and cheaper prices if you go into the mountains...but I'm not so sure about jobs up there.

dont do it. cali is overrated unless you got lots of funds$$$. areas with affordable housing usually have crappy job market.

I think im prepared for the expense. I really just want to start to do some more outdoor growing and the climate around here sucks and the weed laws are even worse.

I live in NorCal. Hippie types may find that the town of Mt. Shasta is friendly and "New Age". The skiing is great, but the job market is fairly poor around here. The timber mills have pretty well all closed. Tourism and bottled water plants are about all we have here. The water plants are usually hiring, however. The Mt. Shasta Ski Resort hires all winter and the golf course hires in summer. The local speed freaks do fire wood in winter and mushroom hunting in the fall and spring. There is a nice little community college split on two campuses in Weed (the town was named after Abner Weed) and Yreka. The scenery can't be beat! Any photo of Mt Shasta that you see, does NOT do it justice. The mountain is magical! The air is clean, except when there's a fire. I get the spring water you city folks pay for, for free from the headwaters of a river- fresh from the spring (maintained by the city of Mt Shasta). With a little hustle on your part, this place is quite livable.

dude, go to the state where willie nelson was recently busted in.
was it louisiana? willie and his gang were busted with over a pound but were charged with a misdemeanor. i heard you can have up to 6 pounds before it becomes a felony.

fuck california. total pig state. very congested---especially the freeways.
very expensive. the average price for a single family home in Campbell (San Jose area) is over $550,000.
good luck finding a studio apartment for less than $1200 a month and that's in a shitty area.
there is crime. lots of it. lots of hostility. lots of yuppies and others rush-rush rushing to beat you to the red light or the parking space.

if you have lots of money and don't need a job then move to the mountains or the deserts. if you don't have lots of money you best stay away. the poor are looked down upon and treated as suspicious.

SSSSHHHHHSSSSSSSS

STFU-what do you want to do- get people to move into our lovely piece of NORCAL. )

Buahahahahaha, just kidding.

California is expensive- the economy is stable. Norcal is not flush with jobs but they can be had.

Housing is outragious but has tabled.

Do you need a house- I happen to have one for sale.

Completely refurbished from teh foundation up. Its a 2 bdrm/one bath 1000 sqft cottage with a deck with a beautiful view up the mountains. There are no modern obstructions like roads or phone lines.

The property also has a completely refurbished fromt eh foundation up a 500 square foot one bdrm mother in law cottage. (perfect for any other activites- secluded)

All new appliences, heating and air. Has wood stoves in each house on 3/4 acre in the footshills just outside of Mt Shasta City. Quite off the road location. Minutes from the city. Both house like new. 350K.

One day I'm going to take a trip to NorCal and Oregon. I want to check out the scene. I think I would love it (not just because I can grow more) but the weather, people, etc... I think it would be a great vacation. I also know someone who is from Eureka and may be able to get hooked up with a job by him. He just moved back out there. Maybe one day I'll just pack up and just go. I'll make sure I got a few thousand bucks to live on for awhile until I can get a job and get on my feet. Good luck with your expedition.

California is the greatest state....i mean were the worlds 5th largest economy....so there are jobs. just depends on what you trade of choice is. i love Norcal, born and raised. nothing like those humboldt redwoods! but the cities are nice as well, san fran is very stoner friendly, same with oaktown and berkley. weed capitol california + garberville. so if interested in persuing the ganja arts, this is mecca. HUMBOLDT CO. for life.

i to am trying to move to Cali...
its not that bad compared to Chicago..
i lived in IL and i paid 1050 for a 2 bedroom thats a rip.. and that was no where near downtown.. more like 10 min from Wisconson..

ya cali is pricey but its managable..

my advice as im going to do is stay away from major cities.. IE the further east you go the cheaper..

i love it out there..
theres so many people you just blend in.. Etc

If you get a Med card it will offer you some room.(Best to check out Normls Cali chapter site) But growing outdrz in the Emerald triangle is risky, CAMP and rippers. Google the mj busts in your area of choice and check out the states grow busts by county, very informative. Jobs in health care are always availible and food industry. Socal has expenses and crowds but loads of jobs. Lake Arrowhead is 1 3/4 hr from LA and prices for homes are reasonable for Cali. It does snow though so prep for an early crop or indrz. Good luck!

if your medical arent you allowed 99 plants in an area no bigger than 100 sq ft. I was under the impression that all you had to worry about are rippers.
