Relocating 24 hr veg plants outdoors temporarily?

I have about plants from seed that have been vegging since about April 15th under 24 hrs of light. These plants will be mothers for some outdoor clones that i'll be putting out around June first. I have to move them outdoors or to a friends house under some flouros (would rather put them outdoors if they wont flower). Thats my question, if I put them outdoors for a few days will they begin to flower on me? I'm assuming they will if they have been under 24hr of light but then again im not sure. I just need them cleared from here for about 4 days or so. Then I was planning on bringing them back in and putting them back under 18/6?

According to the weather tonight/this mornings low will be 47 todays high will be 60 and sunny. Then from that point forward the weather is suppose to be high 75-80 all week and sunny and the lows in the mid 50's. Just thought I would add that.

Well finding some links on google directed me to a post about a guy that had problems with putting plants out and they started to flower on him. So two years later he decided to test over this time period and came back with results of which did not induce his plants to flower. He tried numerous light cycles before placing his plants outside and found that vegging for 24 hours then putting outside was the best method of not having them start flowering. He claims that 18/6 then moving to outside caused them to flower vs the 24 hour cycle not causing the shift in hormones. How this works? I have no idea, personally I thought it would be the other way around. Can someone explain this? I find it quiet odd myself, but who knows.

Difficult to say for sure without knowing what your plants are, but as long as they aren't some crazy early northern latitude genetics like hybrids from hell then you should be fine, especially since they're young seedlings and not mature yet and if it's only a few days then they're unlikely to start flowering anyway.

An option that I've consoidered for this same problem is to get a few of those cheap solar led garden lights and put them around the plants outside, the idea being that with a little supplementary light after dark they won't go into flower, but I'm thinking of using it for vegging clones which will almost certainly start to flower if I put them out now. Fast running out of space in my veg room! Hope that helps, peace, TEC.

You won't see sex in 4 days. You'll lose 2 weeks growth IMO. Should be vegging under 14/10.

Good idea English Cut on the solar lights, but thats not an option for me. These will be hidden in a thicket or some brush somewhere. But still good idea. I think I can get them in a location where the street light will be shining on them some at night though, which I wouldn't of thought of if you hadn't voiced your opinion.

And TomJoad I don't think i'd lose 2 weeks growth, not sure what you mean by that, yes im sure it will slow growth a tad and add a bit of a stretch, but nothing noticeable by losing any growth.

By the way i'm not sure if you would consider them seedlings, I dont start counting them as vegetating til after they show they're first set of true leaves and are transplanted into their first container, they are on there 4th and 5th nodes already at only maybe 6 inches tall, very wide and bushy as I keep my flouros close to the tops.

Again thanks, I guess i'm going to go the outdoor route since they will be seeing the great outdoors in their lifetime eventually anyways.
