Hey IC,
It has come to my attention that the charity Release's helpline is in very serious danger of closing down. The Government will not fund this invaluable service & Release are asking for donations to help keep the service available to the people.
Release are a Legal & Human Rights based charity made up of advisors, barristers & solictors that provide all-sorts of services('free' on application if eligible) including expert witness reports & testimony for the courts. They will actually appear in court (for those that dont know) & give 'Expert' opinion in any missuse of drugs act case, invaluable when the police/cps(crown prosecution service) are trying to place ridiculious street value prices on substances such as Cannabis etc etc etc, such aspects can really increase Sentences. Well Release will put the court/judge straight, preventing the prosectution from making it up as they go along, as they usually do. Release are experts in their field & the evidence they provide can mean the difference between going to prison or going home.
A friend of mine recently got busted with cannabis plants & the advice that Release provided helped keep him out of prison. I learned of Release's helpline plight & thought i'd bring it to the attention of the ICmag family.
You never know when you are going to need the services of Release, any of us in the UK could get busted at any time(god forbid) & its these people that can help you stay out of prison.
Release do fantastic work so please donate to help save their helpline. it doesnt matter how much you doante, even if its 50p, if we all donated 50p, Release's helpline would be in no danger.
The British Government do not want this service available to the people & will not fund it, i wonder why ah?
Ask Frank is the Governments version, its so unhelpfull, uninformative & missleading its unbelievable. 'Ask Frank' is basically 'Full of Shit' & they do-not offer the services that Release do, Release are the 'Peoples Champions', 'ask frank' are not, so please make a donation & help save Release's helpline today they take paypal & making a donation payment is simple, it doesnt matter how big or small, any amount will help save the helpline!
Heres the donations page link:
