Regarding Bubble Bags

Hello ! Just looking for some opinions of why "stirring slowly" is considered as important by some when using bubble bags.

Wondered if there was any actual "science" regarding that or if was just one of those "herd mentality" things...

I've stirred slowly in small 1 gallon bags, I've used a drill in 5 gallon bags, and I also have one of those washing machines. Out of all of them, the washing machine works the best.

Just my experience.

Thanks ! I have been using a blender and just let it rip on high. While not super pure, it turns out damn good when lots of ice and snow are thrown in. While some may laugh at this budget way, nobody has ever complained when smoking, it turns out damn good.

Planning on getting a set of bubble bags to test out. Think I will do a test of slow stir and high speed stir and compare.
Seems like the lighter stir would not get all the trichromes seperated but we will find out. These kind of experiments can be fun ! :dance013:

your right a light stir wont get em all,, but more of em will be intact ...that's why I would do 2 runs off each batch..even then I made butter with the rest or dried it and quick wash with alcohol.....yeehaw

As stoned-trout points out,

Thats also why some people using washers, wash for 3-5 min first run and then increase the wash time gradually.

Same goes with drysift, if one applies to much preassure / force, the quality will drastically drop, due to contamination.

First time using bags recently. I did two runs both slow stirring. The first time only stirred for maybe 2-3 minutes. The first run using all 8 bags and the final run only using the work bag + 120, 73 and 45

The far left drying screen is from the second run. the left and middle are from the first.
