reflector venting

hi was just wondering . reflectors with ducting vents on them . if i was to use 7 of them each with 1000 W bulbs in them . would 6inch line goin threw all of them be enough to cool them . or should i go with the 8inch ones ??

cuz the reflectors im about to buy has two models . 6inch vent and 8inch . but they ran out of the 8inch and i need the reflectors in a few days . so should i just go for the 6inch vents or wait till they have the 8inches ?

You might be lucky, but I would go with over kill rather than under do it. You can slow them down, but you can not increase a 6" anymore than it is. Pick up a 8" or 12" than you never need to worry about it again. But I guess it depends on the type of reflector and just how well they are sealed. Hard to say for sure either way since you did not mention the type of hood. Some are better than others, so a 6" might be ok with a higher end hood and a good seal all around.

sorry . the hoods are northern Star . ya i looked everywhere all out of stock and i need them in a few days .. they only got the 6inches . i was planing if its to hot i would get converters and attach them to all the hoods 6-8inch

If it was me, I would run an 8" Vortex with a reducer to fit the hood then. But thats just me.
