hey guys-

i was at home depot today and came across some rolls of reflectix foil tape. I was wondering if you guys think this would be ok to line my grow box with.

I used it or something very similar to light proof the edges of my window, that with posterboard and electrical tape. I also use it for taping ducting and hoods together.

I think it would be a waste of bread to line a box with, especially if its a big box. They say flat white is the best thing, although i used a semi-gloss white in mine for more durability when i wipe it down.

To sum it up, you might as well use foil... and we all know that sucks. Flat white or mylar dude. keep it easy ~caddy

Keep it around,I couldnt grow without my foil tape. Its just so much better than duct tape for a mutitude of uses, refectivity not being one of them though. You'll find you need it for so many things eventually

if you use white pant have the clerk add some titanium oxide it's a whitener, and no not all white pant is the same, this stuff will make it brighter helps reflect more light and it's a fungus inhibitor.

The one thing I've noticed with this reflective foil tape is that it does tend to come off easily when it's under heat for a few days. It's also not as flexible as duct tape, but for your purposes, that really doesnt matter.

I lined a growbox once with this stuff. It really wasn't that bad but I'm sure flat white paint will do the job and is less labor intensive.
