Referman Nigerian

Has anyone grown refermans Nigerian? Is it a pure sativa? I have a cross of Malawi x (Nigerian x Afghani) that flowered really early and looked good but the effects we're only ok. Was considering crossing it to a potent Swazi to bring out more potency and still maintain early flowering.

Thanks for the reply. I was surprised by how quickly the cross flowered. I grew it indoors and it started flowering after 3 weeks from seed at 12.5 hours of light. The buds were large and resinous but the high was not as up and motivating as I had hoped for. The sativa effects were likely dampened by the 25% Afghani influence.

The Nigerian Nightmare is a very old inbred line I never did the actually hybridization rather it came to me as a IBL and we did selection and multiplied the line it was a amazing early from the day we received it .
It has. the ability to produce massive plants if its vegged a bit and given ample root Space I herd that it was Copied and Sold by another breeder not really all that sure .
You will find Very Nigerian Dom pheno types that do flower Longer and are less prone to semi Auto flowering .
I have 90 Viable seeds thanks to a old customer and I will be working on. this strain in the Caribbean this year .
if I can offer anymore help please let me Know

hi charles,

how likely is the semi auto trait?

in some older threads its mentioned that someone can veg the nn under 24h lighting and put outdoors in spring and she will keep on flowering over the summer.

do i understand right that the nigerian dominant longer flower individuals wont show that behavior?

thx chilli

Hi Charles,

Thanks for the response. Did you ever release a pure fast flowering Nigerian? The strain I have is from Equilibrium genetics and is identified as a Santa Cruz IBL Malawi male x (referman Nigerian x Bodhi Afghani) female. From what I've read Nigerian Nightmare is Nigerian x Afghani.

BTW, I really enjoyed your Red Congolese. I had gotten a clone 10+ years ago and crossed it to a pure Swazi strain I've had for 25+ years. The cross eliminated any of the slight indica effects in the Red Congolese.
