Redman Skunk

Yet another line that has potential to be a rks line. Its an older stable cross of an old superskunk with a thai. Unfortunately the redman the breeder (aka cosmic camel, preservation dude) is no longer with us. He gifted luiz about 300 of these seeds. Right now I believe this is the best chance I have in finding an rks in bsc's stocks. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this variety?

Here Bro,

From the 'inner circle' lol, thanks!

Redman Skunk

xxxxx grew the redman skunk some years back . . . KernalKosmic aka PDude gifted our founder the seeds when they were friends at the SSC and MSP

Here is the info you requested
The Redman skunk is the original that was given away at johny reeferseed a long time ago.

Mostly sat with 10-12 week flower.

Look for the pheno with the strawberry wine flavor for soaring high and the NL one for the couch.

Red Oaxacan

the plants were strong and very hardy . . . but in all honesty it was more sativa than was xxxxxx taste at the time . . . so she bred it to a landrace from Oaxaca . . . and passed those seeds around . . .

Peace, hhf

Sounds like a real winner. I can't wait to trial this one.

Here's a picture someone gave me.

It does have that look of the old superskunk lines. The other seeds that were given to luiz were just labeled oaxacan. After I grow them I'm certain I'll be able to tell if they have some of the redman skunk in them. Only time will tell.

I remember the kernels grows of it. He grew it outdoors and it finished end of october -beg nov where he was. Nice forearm length sativa buds. I think some of those went over the water to some australian members also so you might check with them.

10 - 12 week flowering time on the redman skunk depending on which phenotype you have.

Look for the strawberry wine flavored phenotype.... It has a soaring high with some legs.

Oaxacan is the base for all the purple plants you saw back in the 80's.
Oaxacan Highland has a soaring sativa high, being that is a PURE Sativa.
Flowering time is 12 – 14 weeks, after an extremely long veg time
And yes I do have some seeds, about 45 of them to be exact.
20 of which I'm thinking of putting out this year.

If you have redman skunk, breed the seed so that the genetics are not lost.

Some more..

Yeh not sure your Oaxacan is the red cross, sounds like you have the pure line, which is excellent news.

Peace, hhf

Looks good but I think the RKS is a more indica type plant than sativa. I have found the more Indica the skunk plant is, the closer it is to RKS. I think the above strain is too sativa. I did see the old school RKS skunk growing years ago that a biker friend of a friend had growing around 1994 or so, and it was very indica dominant, but light in colour like a sativa. Most unstealth grow I have ever seen due to smell. Just my opinion, but I could be wrong. Good luck!

Tgt, I'm thinking this line probably isn't an rks at least not very frequently. And while generally I think you're right the truest rks I and many others have ever come in contact with was the virginia skunk aka virginia donkey dick. This plant was very sativa with calyxes comparable in size to the largest calyxed southeast asians fluffy and airy buds and pencil thin leaves and a very happy non sedating daytime buzz. It was my first experience with crashless herb. Personally its the only skunk I've seen that I consider to be a true rks. The georgia skunks which were close to pure afghan and skunky but a little more hashy and less pungent. The oklahoma skunk we used to get was more piney and less pungent. Both of these were more potent and resinous than the virginiaskunk which wasn't very resinous at all though insanely pungent and I believe it was very different than the skunks people were getting on the west coast. This stuff mostly stayed in the carolinas, virginia maryland tennessee and kentucky. The grower was also shipping 50 gallon drums of it to NYC. After curing the herb was buried in 50 gallon drums for a year which turned it to a very light green color. So what we smoked was always a year old eventhough we knew the grower.

Zam- did you ever grow out those Oaxacans that Luiz got from "preservation dude"??

And do you feel those are an accurate representation of the traditional "visual" oaxacan?

our founder . . . kannd . . . grew PD's oaxacan some time ago . . . jeesh . . . maybe 7 years or so . . . so the seeds may be getting old . . .

if memory serves correctly . . . they were supposed to have been sourced from oxaca by a friend of PDude's . . . that was in the days of the SSC . . . and as we all know the origin of all the "landraces" shared there wasn't always perfect . . . but those seeds did produce what we'd expect from oaxacan . . .
