Recommend a Co2 monitor....

Recommend a Co2 monitor... it doesn't need to be able to control a regulator... im working with edible mushrooms and would like to see how much i am actually benefiting from this...
It doesnt need to be top of the line, however i would like a dependable long lasting unit... thats what she said LOL

I use 2 of the digigro coco's. I paid around 300 for 1 250 for the second and now they sell for about 200 on ebay. It is the least expensive unit that has a readout instead of just LED range indicators.

You can find them on ebay.

thanks bro. ill take a gander at that. how long has it lasted you?

18 and 30 months. sent one back for repair after plugging too big a load into it. service is good and price is reasonable. It does control a regulator if needed.

Thats a big bonus if i ever want to get a tank. how long would a 20lb tank last you and at what PPMs... how often do you use your CO2?

They maintain 1300-1500 ppm. There is no way to calculate how long a tank will last without knowing everything about your space.

Co2 can be a commitment.

cap is goin under dont buy from there.
I love my sentinal cch1 but its a bit more than a co2 monitor.
I believe titan has a decent setup I wont use any other kind of refulator ive had every other kind freeze up on me.
Titan also makes a co2 only monitor for around 250 I think.
suggestion though before running co2
make sure your room is tightly sealed then do it three more times.
it makes a HUGE difference in how long tour tank lasts.
id never run above 1200 ppm either its a waste, imho. I run 900 and have gone to 1500 but all that did was run out my tank faster.

Releasing your co2 too fast will cause a freeze up. I always go for the slowest release from a tank to help prevent overshoots and keep co2 loss at a minimum when I forget it's on and leave the door open!

ya well if tour room is bigger than 8x10 it takes a bit... I sont blow out my co2, I keep the float ball at the first notch.
still had regulators freezin up.
its just my experience I just wanted to throw it out so he had as much info to make agood decision for his grow.
im sure if you have a small room that doesnt take long to get to your desired level any cheap reg will do. thats just not my situation.

my room is 13x12 i use a 4.5x8.5 tent to flower in and it takes up almost half of my space. a couple smaller veg/clone areas on the other side of the space... im growing edable mushrooms Elm Oysters and Worm Weather Torks (portobello/button mushrooms)
i just want to see if it brings the rooms ppms up enough to consider growing them in my grow room

These work well if you're careful with your calculations. My tank lasted for the number of days I calculated it would.

Just received mine 2 days ago. So far so good. Will log 48 measurements in a 24 hour period. Accurate enough for my purposes. I wish it were battery operated. Still, hard to beat for $118.99. Good reviews.
