how much space do you have to work with? for just two plants i'd recommend a 150w hps (high pressure sodium) or even a bunch of compact florescent bulbs... There are far too many factors to be able to give you much good info with how little you gave me, but one this I can say for sure is, start READING! like you're typing to win a prize or something!!!

do u plan growing directly in the closet, or some type of grow box inside the closet? Anyway, an estimate on the space size your working with will help.

directly in a small closet that i never go in or use. can seal it up real good. just bog enoug for the couple plants. ive done a ton of reading but like the name says, im very good or lucky with any type of plant and im not the smartest person lol i just want to see if i can do it sucessfully, just enough for me alone to smoke

Unless you use CO2 you don't want the closet completely sealed. You need intake and exhaust ports to provide fresh air and control smell.

Most grows start with an arbitrary decision and then it's dominoes falling down. Because you've selected a closet, let's start with it's size or the size of the portion you want to use. Standard lighting is considered 50 watts per square foot. A 150 will cover about 3sqft. To keep two plants in that space you'll want minimum to no veg time. With a 250, you can cover 5 sqft and can veg a little longer.

You'll want to investigate scrubbers (aka filters, air cleaners) As in NOW. Not all plants wait for flower to stink to high heaven. You don't want to wait for the smell before you act. Because scrubber size is determined by lamp wattage, you'll want to make a lamp choice first. Like I say, dominoes falling down.

Break a stem, you can do it

Hey man, sent you a PM about my set up. Cheap, safe, simple, small. It may give you some ideas in which way you want to go.

I use CFLs, as they are safe and cheap, and I am already paranoid, and thus don't need a big lamp in a box. It may not produce huge yields, but it'll do the job, and get you comfortable with growing.

i've read that in a small closet grow you dont need a exhaust fan, just by opening the door by time to time its enough to get cool air in your closet.
is this true or is it wrong?
