Really short and quick drug test question, please help!

Hi guys, this isnt a typical "will I pass" thread, its about an at home drug test.
I took one today and I saw a very faint negative line. I read all over on-line and basically it says that a faint or faded line is still a negative. The brand is "at home drug test" and the cut-off is at 50ng/ml. I have a lab test on Tuesday, should I still be worried? Can I test negative at home and positive at a lab? Has anyone had a situation like this?

I have never used the at home drug test unless you call sniffing my coat when I come in from outside, my wife fails me every time.

What have you done to clean up for the test? That’s a big question on my mind before I start worrying about the at home test.

How long since last use?
What did you use to clean your system?

These things would help in giving you a better answer.

just drink alot of water, and you'll be fine. water will dilute the reading, making it look like you are cutting back on your smoking habits, which is usually enough to shut the idiots up (they can't expect you to just up and quit cold turkey, and at least this way you look somewhat honest). the fact that your urine is diluted doesn't necessarily mean anything - you could tell them that you drink 6-8 glasses of water a day for health benefits (afterall it is recommended! :wink: ).

if your at home test is testing negative, than you probably haven't actually smoked in a while so you have nothing to worry about. even if you do test positive it will be for some ridiculously small amount (remember THC takes some time to totally deplete in your body and they obviously know this).

Well I havent smoked in about 2 weeks, Im 6 feet and weigh about 190. I have been running about 3 miles a day while wearing a sweatsuit, so its like a sauna. I used to smoke about 3 times a week, about half a joint, it wasnt a lot. Other than that I havent done anything else to "cleanse" my system. Can this info give a clearer answer? Im hoping for the best! Im actually surprised the test was negative since I read THC lasts about 30 days, but just in case Im testing myself tommorow THANKS!!

Stop running.

It's good that you have been running for the long term flush. But you need to put your body into fat storage mode for this last day or two before the goldenflow. If your fat cells are trying to absorb that gut bomb from McD's they aren't releasing metabolites into your bloodstream. Let your kidneys have time to flush what metabolites have been released from your fat cells.

Beyond that, with a lean body, I wouldn't be overly concerned.

With those at home drug tests, you should take a picture of the stick... and if you can see the 2nd line in the picture, then you're good to go.

I took one of those and i had like a ghost hair faint line...freaking out.. and i passed a lab... i'm 5'10" and 190 pounds.

Someone with a fast metabolism who smokes 1 joint will test clean in 3-5 days. A heavy smoker will take longer to test clean. After 2 weeks clean, you are a perfect candidate for dilution. You can take creatine supplement for a few days before the test (they test for creatinine). On the day of the test, drink lots of water and void clear urine a few times, take enough B-complex to color your urine, some rolaids and gatoraid to add weight and electrolytes and you will pass easy. A few extra aspirin than usual has shown to produce false negatives on some types of tests.

Do not load up with water on any days before the test. It will not affect anything.

2 weeks clean and you WILL pass if you do things right. Look through this forum for drug testing guides, tips and tricks, etc. It's all you'll ever need to know (unless testing changes).

thanks guys, no Im not thin or lean(im chubby I guess) nor do I have a fast metabolism, but does anyone know if the lab tests are more sensitive or are they the same as home tests?? time is running out

Im going to do the dilution(creatine, vitamin b, rolaids, aspirin) if they ask if have taken aspirin should I tell them the truth or deny it??

a lab drug test's cut off is 18 ng/mL, but the confirmation level is 50 or above for most businesses.

Update, I just took another home test from another brand (First Check) and I again tested negative. Tommorrow is the big day, and I will let you guys be the first to know. If I pass I will explain step-by-step what I did for the past 2weeks. I really dont have an explanation of how fast I got "clean" since I have been a smoking at least 3 days a week for almost 4 years!! I really thought I would test positive but 2 tests from 2 different brands cant be wrong.

If they ask (after they have seen your sample), you take a multivitamin everyday. Don't explain anymore than that.

Earlier I told you to drink water on the day of, but I remember now it is best to drink gatoraid for the entire water loading process. I suggest buying the powdered drink mix and mixing it at 2x normal strength to make sure your test wont come back as 'dilute'

Check my sig for Dilution tips. Reading that will make sure nothing goes wrong.

2 weeks could just be how long it took for you. You aren't a heavy smoker (I smoke all day everyday). There are other factors, like how much water you drink, the rate at which your fat cells release thc metabolites, what you eat, how much exercise, etc, etc.

dude dont give your first piss of the day take several b12 tabs to help with the color start today evey 4 to 6 hrs until you test ,when you go to test make shure you piss in the toilet first ,and then,when you are 1/2 empty fill the cup this is a clean catch ,it will help your odds alot ,try to piss a few times befor taking the test ,there are herbal diuretics you can get to help you go there by the b12 ....good luck

1. OBTAIN CLEAN URINE (I GET MINE FROM A 9YO KID)

5. FILL A THERMOS OR MUG WITH HOT WATER (NEAR BOILING TEMP) AND PLACE URINE BALLOON IN HOT WATER ; KEEP IN HOT WATER UNTIL YOU ARRIVE AT CLINIC
6. TIE OR USE A SAFETY PIN TO ATTACH BALLOON TO THE INSIDE OF YOUR BOXER SHORTS
7. UPON TAKING TEST, POP A SMALL HOLE AT THE TIP WHILE YOU COUGH (TO MASK SOUND) AND A STEADY STREAM OF URINE WILL FLOW - IT WILL APPEAR AS YOU ARE URINATING

Anyway dude after 2 weeks fck yeah you are pretty much clean unless you have been smoking everyday for the past 6months.

I smoke at night but not that much and im fat. I can piss clean after 10 days. Every time..

and yes the line on the home test doesnt matter if its faint or not.

Its been 3 days since the test and no news yet, and from what I hear no news is good news. Actually I have to back to the same clinic this afternoon, for a tuberculosis test, so if they dont tell me anything regarding my urine test in person I assume I have passed. Thanks guys!

Until my Doberman learns to roll a joint, I have access to "clean" urine. And she's female - I'm not.
That fact was NEVER detected.

Having worked in a few drug testing prone industries, I am ever so grateful to be away from that enviorment now.
Do what you must, but work towards that which makes you happy.

Back then, seems I did notice, many of the upper level managers that were exempt from testing, were bigger "heads" than any of the crew. Amd more likely to call in after a blow-out party. (frickin lightweights)

Dude "Detoxify" brand cleanser works every time. I get the liquid kind. It works for just 5 hours. You drink the bottle (about 20 oz.) fill it with water and drink agian. In fifteen min drink one more bottle. I like to take min 2-3 hours before I go test. You will be clean for the next five hours and it will be colored light yellow. Good luck.

Congrats. I'd have been shocked if you failed. If you went in without any preparation, I bet you still would have passed, being 2+ weeks clean and a very light smoker. But always better to use the dilution method if there is any doubt.

For heavy smokers, substitution is the way to go for an unsupervised test.

However if you get supervised tests (probation/parole) You probably aren't going to be a heavy smoker lol
