READ this about BOG

i have been having some problems starting plants, or maybe i should say that i have been having a problem killing plants. i am good gardener but have been having serious problems with our favorite herb. (not to diss cilantro).

Out of desperation, I PM'd BOG (who must receive tons per day) and asked for help in selecting a hardy, easy to grow strain. He quickly answered and suggested his bogglegum as i suspected. To my suprise he continued on and reccommended strains that werent his notably Nirvana's White Rhino and Bubblicious. After doing some research i opted for White Rhino as it seems pretty fool-proof and i could use a confidence boost.

I know there are those who say BOG looks out for Number 1 (especially around OG). I don't see how this can be. I thought his response was informative, thoughtful, and tailored for me.

All i can say is when i do get a crop or two under my belt i am going to be ordering up some Sour Diesel and either LSD or BogBubble or whatever new concoction he may have kicking around in a few months.

this isn't some brown-nosing adverstisement for BOG, but instead a big thank you to a fellow who seems like a stand-up sort of guy.

Hey Rapid - At this risk of being accused of Brown-Nosing, as you say, althogh BOG is a breeder with distinct interests in the selling seeds for his strains, his integrity within the cannabis community goes unquestioned, IMHO. He is here on a daily basis posting threads to help all who grow regardless of what strains they are growing.

Aside from the invaluable grow relateed information that he provides us all, his lessons in life, love and karmatic reasoning are perhaps the more valuable lessons that he provides us. While some may choose the "low road" and criticize him at other sites, he is loved and revered by all here at ICMag. If it weren't for people like BOG, Resdog, Gypsy Nirvana, Dutch Grown, Reeferman and so many other master teachers here, ICMag would not be the best cannabis related site on the net that it is!

i did politely thank him in a PM. i also wanted to let other people know, cause maybe there are some new growers like me out there looking for encouragement or trying to learn about different breeders.

i thought my post was a completely appropriate and a pretty cool tidbit.

it's all about sharing knowledge and learning, which many people at this site help others do.

i think it is so cool that you would take the time to be so utterly negative and question my intentions and moreover my integrity. keep up the good work hashmasta. keep encouraging and showing the love.

I dont think they did m8...... Did u Rez, BOG????? I though SB was a special clone that BOG has had for some time from the Bogbubble genepool that was very different in smell and flavour from the others, and Sour Diesel is Rez's seperate creation based in the ECSD clone From the US the US. Please ignore me completely if I am wrong, lol. The confusion will help marjeting for both starins though I bet, as Diesel lovers will wanna try something else with sour in the name, as will Sour bubble lovers. So both should do well out of the confusion about the names. Not that they need confusion to help shift em, I havent grown the SD, but its on my "To be had" list and will be had very soon hopefully, and the SB rocks, so ppl will buy them on their own merits without basing the decision in the mistaken belief that either one is a cross containing the other.
If that doesnt make sense, sorry, lol. SB will do that 2 u.

3 or 4yrs ago at OG before BOG started selling seeds he use too do some really good teaching and comparison threads, like the BOG soil recipe, and the double potting method, the Nirvana BlueMystic vs. DP Blueberry, etc. just too name a few. Now hes too busy i guess with all the seed business stuff, too bad he has much too teach and share, besides his genetics. He's still cool by me though Lets not forget those old threads with the white legs and the vacuum cleaner

And yes,(sigh!) this HAS caused shitloads of confusion,so let me state here,for everyone to read:

There is no Sour Diesel in BOG's 'Sour Bubble'.
NONE,at all.

However,I did recently offer BOG some Sour Diesel Parent Stock to work with,if he so desires....

I have had the pleasure of being mentored by BOG. If you ask him a question he's happy to respond. Even though his grows are organic, he was still able to give me some great advice about my hydro grow. He's a beautiful soul. If I'm brown nosin' oh well. Never hurts to accentuate the positives of another so that others realized they can feel free to contact him for help. Even though he's busy with his seeds, he was able to take time out to not only return my PM's, but to speak to me in chat as well.

Shout out to everyone who is willing to offer their skills and knowledge to those of us who are still newbies!!!

now how can you say my post was "utterly negative"? did you skip half of it? i only strive for truth and accuracy, and sometimes(often) the naked truth is a bit hurtish. you will grow from it , dont worry.

Nope.

I have an EXTENSIVE breeding program going....with P1 Stock that's as rare as hen's teeth....

I don't NEED Joint projects....and have none planned....

My stock's running an EASY ++20% tHc,and that's how I've PLANNED it,so expect to see us reaching for 30%,and damn sure not worrying about keeping it at an industry-average twenty.....

Wow we've got a thread with props, good natured ribbing, some brown nosing, some shameless pimpin and some strain Info. What a thread. Like a 5 course meal. Good reading. Herb hasn't wanted to Smack anyone yet. This strikes me as odd because we seem to have been flooded lately with threads in which Herb has wanted to smack some sense into somebody. I'm glad BOG helped ya Rabid.
