definately an overfert issue.....but not to the point of burn it seems.
Tell us what nutes your using at the moment and your watering shedule.....24/7 watering?? i see hydro corals or lava rocc and even those should be set on a timer....
I just went through an N overdose and that is definately the claw. I would flush her and than start her back on low nutes.
best advice I ever got - Less is More. It is very common for new growers to keep mucking with things until they create an even bigger problem than they had to begin with.
If you are not way too emotionally attached to her and you have clones I would consider starting over. IME a major stress event like that will always imapct the results.
could also be related to low levels of dissolved oxegyn. what air pump are you using, what are temps at root area, have you checked your airstone to make sure its not clogged?
I let the plants tell me when they need to eat. It takes a while to learn but they give off small signs before it starts to hurt them. The more time you spend with your plants the more you will become one with them. LESS IS MORE ! ! !
Looks overwatered or like there is too much water at stembase, but the color looks like +N. With nute burn I would imagine to see some tips and edges crisping, but I don't.
How much space between h20 level and your first set?
Looks like your in lava....Bio sytem w/ recirc?
What's your PH and TDS at?
Thanx guys for all the advice. The PPM using Canna Aqua nutes is only at 600 and that includes the 150 ppm city supply. I am not a beginner and the PH, temps, etc are all good. You can see the cupping , dark green color and also the plants are extreamly compact and have pretty much stopped growing.
I tore them out today and found another clue. The roots were the same as the plant, very short, thick and unlike normal whispy roots. Except from looking a bit mutant, the roots had good color and were slime free. BUT, when you hold them in your hands they crumbled apart. For some reason the roots were very brittle. I also noticed what looked like large amounts of brown algee at the bottom of the buckets!
I am beginning to think that the roots were attacked by some kind of fungus or bacteria.
I am currently cleanning and disinfecting the entire system.
Has anyone else encountered this brown growth in thier systems?
Also regarding disinfection: I am running water with massive amounts of H2O2 and was wondering if bleach would be better? I'm just worried that removing all the bleach from the Lava might be difficult. Any ideas?
