re vegging techniques ?

at therm min ive got a couple of killer og x bs in late flower i want to keep 2 to re veg and run again.
i normally just trim the roots back and give it some N and put it back into 24 hours light, do folk have any hint and tips for speeding things up

i don't trim any leaves i just throw them into 24 hour light, but it takes 2-3 months to get totally back to normal veg, they work better as clone moms than flowering them twice...

I dont do any special just set in my veg box, it usually takes about 4-6 weeks to get it back to normal for me

fastest ive seen, was a plant reverting to veg in 4 days. (as in new veg growth beginning to happen.)


the more leaves i can leave on the tree, the more sure the recovery, though with roottrimming i can often cut the plant down to a single flower and a leaf or 2 and as long as i match the rootball to the top, the plant will reveg shortly.

(rarely more than a week, in most cases.)

Make sure to use only the smallest amount of water 2 when feeding....its easy to drown the plant and kill it

Good Luck...I would still try and take a cutting it's never good to rely on reveg alone

Thats good to hear mate cheers, they just be getting stuck under a 125 cool white flouro till she pull round, most of the time i can take cuts within 3-4 weeks but if it takes any longer il chuck them and get a few more packs to hunt through at a later date as i dont have room to keep long term mothers

she's at week 6 bloom mate and buds every were and quite well formed,you reckon itll still root and reveg?

this is what roottrimming prevents. roottrim the rootball,slightly bigger than the top (in soil)


and you will be able to water normally (plus the whole thing speeds up dramatically.)

still, i agree.

even though i can reveg 99% of plants, if i really wanted the plant, id make sure to have lots of leaves, roottrim very carefully (the roots need to be tad bigger, accounting for the soil.)

though, i only need 1-3 tiny buds to reveg. (as long as enough leaves are fine, the fewer leaves you have,the more lower buds id leave, sometimes id leave the entire lower half if its looking really shitty.)

but yes, id take a clone too, just in case.

yes i think il will mate , just to be on the safe side as id kick myself if i lost these 2 beasts , esp if they smoke as good as they look and smell

its a 5ft plant and has rock hard nuggage from the pot up really mate and i trained the plant to get 4 main colas and not much else shes got marble to golf balls all over, im sure i could sacrifice a few buds to ensure ive still got them

(i use one internode for easier rooting.placed below soil.)

btw, ive never had a revegging plant die on me, unless i fucked up, cut off too much of the roots, too many leaves, whatever.


and it sounds like you are doing fine in those quarters, so this is just a extra extra precautionary measure.

plants can look like shit and bounce back in no time.

(though i usually dont advise anything on any board, my usual remedy for everything is a bit of my own urine, at most a small teacup per large plant, works for just about anything, near dead plants? bit of pee, voila resurrection. i dont advise this, because most people are sissies and the rest can usually figure it out on their own. ))

Nice thread, I've flowered reveged plants and the yields were phenomenal!!! I recently gave my homie leaf Aligee's Cali Kushplant (Wifi #1 x Pre'98 Bubba bx), I harvested close to 3oz. off her, put her under 24hrs she started vegging in 3 wks, he grew her out another month or so, kept her in the same 5 gallon Smartie and yielded 9 zips!! Idk if this was mentioned but I keep/harvest plants I plan to reveg on the green side, I don't want them yellowing up too much .....seems to stress less and kicks back into veg faster!
